Check the metal components: Ensure the fall indicator hasn't been triggered, and the snap hook operates smoothly. Any deformation means the SRL should be removed from service.
Inspect the housing: Confirm that all fasteners are secure and labels display accurate batch and serial numbers.
Examine the cable: Check for frays, cuts, or damage. The SRL is no longer safe if the cable is caught in the housing.
