SataMount MRM: Heavy-Duty Satellite Mount for Screw-Down Metal Roofs
The SataMount MRM is the pinnacle of strength and durability for mounting satellite dishes on screw-down (exposed fastener) metal roofs. This heavy-duty, universal-fit system provides unmatched reliability for attaching Starlink dishes, conduits, solar micro-inverters, and electrical junction boxes without compromising roof integrity.
Note: Satellite dish depicted in images is for illustration purposes only and is not included. Fully compatible with Starlink Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 (Standard) models.

Engineered to Prevent Leaks
The SataBracket, the core component of the MRM system, fits any screw-down metal roof with a minimum of 1.5 inches of flat area. Its ingenious design allows it to be secured into the flat portion of the metal panel—a method highly recommended by leading panel manufacturers to prevent leaks. The precision-manufactured gaskets ensure a watertight seal upon installation.

While the SataMount MRM is the epitome of strength for screw-down and shingle roofs, please note that for standing seam or "floating" metal roofs, the non-penetrating SataMount RCT is required to preserve the roof's ability to expand and contract.
Unmatched Structural Strength
Fabricated from 27" P1000T Unistrut rails with a proprietary Defender finish, this system is built for the harshest weather. Each rail can support 1,690 lbs, providing a steadfast foundation for high-wind satellite installations or heavy rooftop equipment. The Defender coating is designed for a 100+ year service life and outperforms standard galvanized finishes in salt-spray testing.

Starlink Compatibility Guide
We engineered the SataMount MRM to allow customers to install any Starlink dish model onto just about any screw-fastened metal roof.
- Starlink Gen 1, Gen 2, and Business High-Performance: Stock mounting brackets are compatible with the SataMount MRM kit without additional adapters.
- Starlink Gen 3 (V3/V4): Requires the "Gen 3 Pivot Mount" (available from the official Starlink Store) to bolt securely to the Unistrut rails.
- Starlink Flat High-Performance: Requires the Starlink Pipe Adapter and a Universal J-Mount Mast with Roof Bracket.

SataMount MRM Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I use the SataMount MRM on a Standing Seam roof?
No. The MRM system requires screwing through the metal panels into the roof deck. For standing seam roofs, you must use the SataMount RCT, which uses non-penetrating clamps to avoid voiding your roof warranty.
2. How does this system prevent roof leaks?
The SataBrackets are installed in the "flat" of the metal panel rather than on the ribs. Each bracket includes high-quality gaskets, and when used with the included Master Gripper roofing screws, creates a watertight seal that meets manufacturer standards.
3. Is the SataMount MRM compatible with Starlink Gen 3?
Yes. While the Gen 3 "kickstand" dish requires an adapter, the SataMount MRM provides the perfect structural base for the Starlink Gen 3 Pivot Mount.
4. Will this mount work on a shingle roof?
Yes. The SataMount MRM can be installed on shingle roofs with proper preparation. The 27-inch Unistrut rails allow you to span across rafters for a much stronger attachment than traditional "foot" mounts.
5. What is the benefit of the Defender-coated Unistrut?
The Defender finish provides over 100 years of service life and is designed to resist corrosion in harsh environments. This is critical for satellite mounts, which are often exposed to high UV and moisture at the roof's peak.
6. Can I mount heavy equipment like solar inverters on this?
Absolutely. With a load rating of 1,690 lbs per strut, the SataMount MRM is a structural mounting platform suitable for micro-inverters, junction boxes, and heavy conduits.
7. How do I avoid common problems during MRM installation?
- 1. Fasten to Substrate: Ensure your Master Gripper screws penetrate through the metal and into the wood decking or purlins for maximum pull-out strength.
- 2. Apply Sealant: For added security, apply a small bead of roofing sealant around the SataBracket gaskets during installation.
- 3. Level the Rails: Use a level across the 27-inch Unistrut rails before final tightening to ensure your satellite dish mast is perfectly vertical.
