Why Professionals Choose the SSRA Walkboard Bundle

Working on a steep-pitch standing-seam roof requires stability and speed. This bundle provides a rock-solid work platform, allowing your crew to stage materials and move confidently while maintaining 100% roof integrity.

  • Zero Roof Penetrations: Preserves the manufacturer's warranty. The SSRA1 anchors grip the seam using 12 opposing set screws, meaning no holes and no leaks.
  • Universal Standing Seam Fit: Patented design fits over 500 seam profiles (95% of the market), including snap-lock, t-seams, bulb seams, trapezoidal, and mechanical seams.
  • Fully Adjustable Leveling: The SSRA2 adapters feature integrated stabilizer legs that accommodate seam heights from 1" to 3", keeping your platform perfectly level on pitches from 6:12 to 12:12.
  • Multi-Purpose Utility: When not used for walkboards, the included SSRA1 anchors serve as OSHA-compliant, 5,000-lb rated fall protection tie-off points.
  • USA Construction: Built from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum and stainless steel hardware for long-term durability in the harshest environments.

How to Install the SSRA Roof Jack & Anchor System

This bundle is designed for fast, efficient setup on the job site. Follow these steps for an OSHA-compliant staging area:

  1. SSRA1 Anchor Placement: Install the two included SSRA1 anchors on the seams (max 8 feet apart) and torque set-screws to 90 in/lbs.
  2. SSRA2 Roof Jack Mounting: Bolt the SSRA2 adapters directly to the top of the SSRA1 anchor bases using the provided top bolts.
  3. Pitch Adjustment: Loosen the side-leg adjustment bolts to level the walkboard mount. Ensure the padded stabilizer feet are snug against the roof panel.
  4. Securing the Plank: Place your 2x10 lumber (not included) in the roof jacks and drive 2-inch #10 wood screws through the pre-drilled holes in the bracket face.

SSRA2 Roof Jack Adapter Bundle Frequently Asked Questions

This all-in-one bundle provides everything needed to set up a 10-foot walkboard: two (2) SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchors and two (2) SSRA2 Adjustable Roof Jack Adapters.

Traditional brackets often cost upwards of $2,000 and require roof penetrations. This bundle is cost-effective, lightweight (approx. 13.5 lbs per bracket), and maintains the roof's integrity through a patented non-penetrating clamp system.

Installation is efficient, typically taking only a few minutes. You torque the SSRA1 anchors to the seams, bolt the SSRA2 Roof Jack Adapters on top, and secure your 2x10 board with wood screws.

The included SSRA1 anchors come with cupped-tip set screws for 22-gauge steel. If you have 24-gauge steel panels, we recommend switching the screw pack to the nylon tip version.

Yes. The "SSRA Component System" design allows you to remove the SSRA2 adapters and use the SSRA1 anchors for fall arrest tie-offs or as end-points for a horizontal lifeline (SSRA3 plates required).

A micro torque wrench is required to ensure the SSRA1 set screws are tightened to the specified 90 in/lbs (for cupped-tip) or 180-200 in/lbs (for nylon-tipped) to meet OSHA safety requirements.

The system requires nominal 2"x 10" thickness lumber of excellent quality, free of defects, knots, or cracks. The board should extend 6" to 12" beyond the brackets on each end.

Absolutely. The SSRA2 bundle features 6061-T6 aluminum bodies and stainless steel hardware, making it ideal for long-term use in harsh outdoor environments.

The red roofing brackets included in the bundle feature a multi-position adjustment pin. This feature allows you to compensate for roof pitches from 6/12 up to 12/12, ensuring a flat, safe walking surface.

Standing Seam Roof Anchor Full Product Line Introduction

About Standing Seam Roof Anchor

In 2015, the Standing Seam Roof Anchor System began providing specialized fall protection solutions for standing seam roofs. It all started with the SSRA1 seam anchor, designed to lock onto 95% of all standing seam profiles without penetrating the panels or violating warranties. This patented innovation was the first one-piece design in the industry that used six pairs of opposing set screws for seam attachment.

A couple of months later, the SSRA2 Adjustable Roof Jack adapter was released, making walkboards possible on standing seam roofs. The adjustable height side legs stabilize the roof seams and create a stable walkboard surface. After that, we introduced the SSRA3 Anchor Plate, which allows for the deployment of temporary horizontal lifelines on standing seam roofs without penetrations. This comprehensive product line offers unmatched safety and reliability across multiple industries in the U.S. and Canada. All Standing Seam Roof Anchor products are proudly designed and fabricated in the U.S.A.
