Standing Seam Roof Anchor SSRA1 Testing
The SSRA1 was subjected to 3rd-party, ISO 17025/ANSI Z359.18 testing to confirm the Ultimate Failure strength of the SSRA1. The results exceeded expectations and our competitor's strength ratings. Despite the standard testing protocol for OSHA and ANSI, the SSRA1 withstood an ultimate breaking strength of 14,500 lbs. The test concluded when the Grade 8 top bolts sheared, leaving the aluminum anchor body completely unharmed or bent. This incredible strength is due to the patented structural design of the anchor body. The SSRA1 is in a class of its own!
SSRA1 Patented Design
The SSRA1's patented, non-penetrating design is unlike anything else currently available.It consists of a solid 6061-T6 aluminum body with 12 stainless steel set screws.The standard assembly includes a 5,000 lbs. certified D-ring for single-worker attachment. Set screw attachment has proven to be superior to compression-type anchors that use bolts to squeeze the seam between the metal plates. The set screws do not allow the device to slide during impacts, like weaker compression-style anchors.
The innovative SSRA1 anchors are compatible with interchangeable adapter plates. The SSRA2 Adjustable Roof Jack adapters allow walkboards to be used on standing seam roofs. The SSRA3 Anchor Plates can be added to the SSRA1 Anchors whenever temporary horizontal lifelines are required.
We recommend the use of inline shock absorbers or shock packs when using the SSRA1. 22 gauge steel panels are compatible with cupped and nylon tipped set screws, and 24-gauge steel panels are compatible with nylon tipped set screws only.
