SSRA3 Anchor Plate For Horizontal Lifelines On Standing Seam Roofs
The SSRA3 Anchor Plate is a universal mounting plate constructed of 6061-T6 aluminum and professionally tested for OSHA compliance. The SSRA3 is designed to mount atop two SSRA1 seam anchors and fits about 95% of today's standing-seam profiles. Once installed, workers can mount anything on a standing-seam roof, including fall protection equipment. The SSRA3 Anchor Plate includes a D-ring that can be mounted either vertically or horizontally for horizontal lifeline attachment. The SSRA3 Anchor Plate is the foundation of our SSRA HLL kit for mounting a 100' temporary horizontal lifeline to a compatible standing seam metal roof.

SSRA3 Anchor Plate FAQ
Does the SSRA3 include the SSRA1 seam anchors?
No. The SSRA3 is a mounting plate only. Each SSRA3 Anchor Plate requires two (2) SSRA1 Seam Anchors for proper installation.
What is the primary use for the SSRA3 Anchor Plate?
The SSRA3 is most commonly used to provide a certified 5,000 lbs anchorage point for temporary horizontal lifelines (HLL) or heavy-duty D-ring attachments.
What is the maximum seam width the plate can span?
The SSRA3 Anchor Plate features adjustable slide grooves that allow it to fit compatible standing-seam profiles with a spacing of up to 24 inches.
Can the D-ring be mounted in different directions?
Yes. The included Falltech 7414 D-ring can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the plate, providing flexibility for different lifeline configurations.
Is the SSRA3 Plate OSHA compliant?
Yes. When mounted on two SSRA1 anchors and installed according to the manual, the SSRA3 is professionally tested to meet OSHA 1926 Subpart M and ANSI Z359.1 standards.
What are the most common mistakes to avoid when installing the SSRA3 Anchor Plate?
To ensure a safe and compliant installation, avoid these common errors:
- 1. Using only one anchor: The SSRA3 must bridge two anchors for structural integrity.
- 2. Incorrect Bolt Torque: Always use provided Grade 8 hardware and ensure all top bolts are tightened securely.
- 3. Misaligning the D-Ring: Position the D-ring to match the intended direction of the lifeline pull.
