Added Bonus: Malta Dynamics Vertical Lifeline
Included in this bundle is the Malta Dynamics C7050 50' vertical lifeline with shock-absorbing lanyard and rope grab. It offers reliable fall protection, enhancing the overall safety and efficiency of roofing operations. The rope grab allows workers to stay tethered to the lifeline at various distances away from the anchor point. The shock-absorbing lanyard effectively reduces impact loads on the worker during a fall.
Setting Up the Ridge Pro Anchor: Pole Preparation:
- Acquire a Pole: Purchase a Wooster Sherlock R057 (8'-16') extension pole locally. Remove the screws holding the threaded tip and drill holes with a 1/4" bit to accommodate the clevis pin.
- Attaching the Anchor: Slide the Ridge Pro post inside the drilled pole and secure it using the provided clevis pin.
- Anchoring on Roof: Position the Ridge Pro over the roof peak. Secure it using four 5/16" x 1-1/2" lag bolts (sold separately) through the pre-drilled holes in its cross members. Ensure it's anchored firmly to withstand impact loads.
- Lifeline Attachment: Attach the lifeline to the Ridge Pro unit. Use the rope grab for controlled ascent and descent, adjusting it to maintain safety while moving across the roof.
- Post-Use: Upon completing the work, remove the bolts and seal the holes with weatherproof roofing sealant to prevent any potential leaks or damage.
