The most cost effective way of purchasing the extension pole for the RidgePro is to find it locally at Home Depot or Lowe's. Home Depot has them locally and might be able to deliver. Buy the pole here. It is normally less than $40. We tend to get alot of shipping damage to the poles so buying one locally is the way to go and saves you a ton of money. Look for the Wooster Surelock R057 8'-16' in the paint department. Once you purchase the pole, you simply remove the two screws and the threaded tip. Enlarge both screws holes using a 1/4" drill bit. The RidgePro post will slide inside of the pole and can be secured using the clevis pin that came with the RidgePro. Watch the short video below.
Just add your harness and pole for the ultimate "first man up" roof anchoring system is designed for 6/12 to 12/12 roof pitches for temporary or long term anchorage. Perfect for Contractors, Roofers, Solar Installers, Chimney Sweeps, Telecom Installers, Gutter Installers, Insurance Adjusters, Rescue, and DIY Homeowners! The RidgePro allows for safe temporary anchoring from the ladder to the peak of the roof. Faster than traditional chicken ladders and also allows for horizontal mobility because you are secured to a vertical lifeline. The base is padded to protect the roof and accepts four 5/16" lg bolts to make it an OSHA Compliant as an anchoring device. The body is made from durable, lightweight aluminum with a stainless rope shackle making it mobile and incredibly strong! Contractors are switching to the RidgePro and saving on walkboards and scaffolding costs!
This is the latest version of the RIDGEPRO™ and it is compliant with OSHA standard 1926 Subpart M for a single user when anchored, withstanding and exceeding 5,000 pounds of static strength force. When not anchored, OSHA does not regulate "non-anchors" so you would be working with The RIDGEPRO™ as an inspection tool, which grants 15 minutes of time on the roof before you must anchor.
Important: The standard RIDGEPRO™ does not include a pole. It does include the Ridge Pro body as shown in the picture plus the Malta C7050 vertical lifeline, rope grab, and shock pack. This latest version of the RidgePro uses a positive locking Sherlock RO57 fiberglass telescoping pole that extends from 8 feet to 16 feet. The older version used a proprietary threaded tip pole with a locking pin. The pole for the latest model is now available for purchase at most paint supply and box stores. Please note that is will be necessary to remove the threaded tip from the Sherlock RO57 purchased from paint and box stores.
