1054 CRA 4-Way Top Fixture, Galvanized or Stainless
The Super Anchor 1054 is the 4-way top fixture that turns a CRA-4, RLT-4, or CRO-4 4-way riser into a horizontal lifeline intersection anchor. The fixture bolts onto the riser with a 1/2 x 4-1/2 inch stainless hex bolt with seal washers on both ends plus 3 set screws, and accepts up to 4 HLL run attachments plus single person loop top tie-off.
What is included: the 4-way top fixture with its stainless attachment bolt, seal washers, lock nut, and set screws; turnbuckles and rigging hardware are sold separately. Choose the material with the selector above: the 1054-G is hot dip galvanized with a No. 1090 cast loop top, and the 1054-S is 304 stainless with a No. 1090-S 316 stainless loop top. Either fixture rigs T, 90 degree, 45 degree, and full 4-way intersections per the 02-2021 CRA HLL Rigging Manual, and the 10,000 lb tensile loop top doubles as a single person PPE anchorage point.

Who Needs This Product
The 1054 is for contractors and building owners rigging multiple CRA horizontal lifeline runs that meet at one anchor. The fixture installs on any CRA-4, RLT-4, or CRO-4 4-way riser, and its disc accepts turnbuckle B ends and A end couplers so up to 4 runs junction at a single post. Attaching HLL A ends at the 4-way allows turnbuckle adjustment and energy absorber tension to be monitored from one location, and the loop top gives a single worker at up to 340 lb including tools a tie-off point right at the intersection. Pick galvanized for standard commercial roofs or stainless for coastal and corrosive environments.
Features
Up to 4 HLL attachments
The 4-way disc rigs T, 90 degree, 45 degree, and full 4-way intersections with 9/16 inch turnbuckle and coupler bolts per the 02-2021 rigging manual.
10,000 lb cast loop top
The 1054-G carries a No. 1090 cast steel loop top and the 1054-S a No. 1090-S 316 stainless loop top, each rated to 10,000 lb minimum tensile strength.
Positive bolt and set screw lock
A 1/2 x 4-1/2 inch stainless hex bolt with seal washers on both ends passes through the riser, and 3 set screws driven with a 3/16 inch hex wrench prevent fixture movement.
Single person tie-off
The loop top may be used as a single person PPE anchorage per Fig. 10.5 of the rigging manual, in addition to the HLL attachments.
Two materials
Hot dip galvanized 1054-G for standard roofs; 304 stainless body with 316 stainless loop 1054-S for coastal, chemical, and architectural work.
Turnbuckle fit adjustment
The top and bottom disc o.d. may be tapped gently with a hammer to fit narrower turnbuckle jaws per Fig. 14; never reduce the o.d. more than necessary or use grinders or heat.

The fixture is only as strong as its installation. Set the 1054 onto the riser, align the attachment bolt holes, and install the 1/2 x 4-1/2 inch stainless bolt with seal washers on both ends. Tighten all 3 set screws evenly with a 3/16 inch hex wrench, then tighten the attachment bolt with 3/4 inch wrenches until the seal washers are firmly set against the riser wall, without over tightening, per page 4 of the 02-2021 HLL rigging manual. The supporting anchor must be bolted, field welded, or concrete embedded, never screw attached.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.18-17 Type A/T
Component of CRA anchor systems verified by Intertek lab reports per the 01-2023 CRA manual.
OSHA 1926.502 / 1910.140
CRA HLL systems meet construction anchorage criteria with 5,000 lb structural support requirements.
CSA Z259.15:22 Type A/T
Canadian anchorage connector conformity for cross-border crews.
Factory Engineered HLL Systems
SAS engineered horizontal lifeline runs to 120 ft, with runs up to 130 ft available through third party structural engineering.
Typical Applications
Installation Overview
Full attachment and rigging figures are on page 4 of the CRA HLL Rigging Manual linked below. The essentials:
- Set the 4-way top onto a CRA-4, RLT-4, or CRO-4 riser and align the attachment bolt holes.
- Insert the 1/2 x 4-1/2 inch stainless hex bolt with a seal washer on each end and start the lock nut.
- Tighten all 3 set screws evenly with a 3/16 inch hex wrench to prevent 4-way movement.
- Tighten the attachment bolt with 3/4 inch wrenches until the seal washers are firmly set against the riser wall; do not over tighten.
- If a turnbuckle jaw will not fit the disc, gently tap the disc o.d. with a hammer per Fig. 14; never use grinders or heat.
- Attach up to 4 HLL runs, rigging each B end first and tensioning per the rigging manual, then inspect before service.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before installation and each use, with documented annual inspections. Remove the fixture from service when any of the following apply:
- The loop top or disc is bent, cracked, or deformed.
- The attachment bolt, lock nut, or a seal washer is loose or missing.
- Any of the 3 set screws is loose or missing.
- Rust that does not clean up with cold zinc coating on the galvanized model, or corrosion and pitting on stainless.
- Connector abrasion has worn through the coating and red rust keeps returning.
- The fixture was subjected to a free fall or the supporting anchor is damaged.
Tag fixtures removed from service to prevent further use until inspected by a qualified or competent person.
