Ridge Pro Pole Instructions
Unlock the full potential of your roofing projects with Ridge Pro, the innovative and cost-effective roof anchoring system. The extension pole is available locally at Home Depot for around $40. Buying the pole locally avoids shipping costs and damages. Look for the Wooster Surelock R057 8'-16' in the paint department for a sturdy and reliable extension for your Ridge Pro system. Once you get the pole, remove the two screws holding the threaded tip in the end and drill those holes out to 1/4" to accept the Ridge Pro device. The Ridge Pro post will slide inside the pole and can be secured using the clevis pin that came with the Ridge Pro.
Why Choose RidgePro?
The Ridge Pro is a "first man up" roof anchoring system designed for 6/12 to 12/12 roof pitches, catering to a spectrum of professionals, including Contractors, Roofers, Solar Installers, Chimney Sweeps, Telecom Installers, Gutter Installers, Insurance Adjusters, Rescue teams, and DIY Homeowners. Unlike traditional chicken ladders, Ridge Pro offers faster, safer, and more flexible access to the roof, thanks to its vertical lifeline attachment.
The Ridge Pro allows for safe temporary anchoring from the ladder to the roof's peak. It is faster than traditional chicken ladders and provides horizontal mobility because you are secured to a vertical lifeline. The base is padded to protect the roof and accepts four 5/16" lag bolts, making it an OSHA-compliant anchoring device. The body is durable, lightweight aluminum with a stainless rope-shackle, making it mobile and incredibly strong! Contractors are switching to the Ridge Pro and saving on walkboards and scaffolding costs!
The latest version of the RIDGE PRO is compliant with OSHA 1926 Subpart M for a single user when anchored, withstanding and exceeding 5,000 pounds of static strength force. When not anchored, OSHA does not regulate "non-anchors," so you would be working with the RIDGE PRO as an inspection tool, which grants 15 minutes on the roof before you must anchor.

How do I mount the RIDGE PRO Roof Peak Anchor into the roof?
To mount the RIDGE PRO Roof Peak Anchor into the roof, follow these steps:
1. Start by identifying the cross members located in the front and back of the RIDGEPRO that will straddle the roof's peak.
2. Each cross member will have two pre-drilled holes for 5/16" x 1-1/2" lag bolts.
3. Begin by aligning the RIDGE PRO's cross members with the roof's peak.
4. Take the lag bolts and insert them one by one into the pre-drilled holes on each cross member. Use the appropriate tools, such as a wrench or socket, to tighten the lag bolts securely, ensuring that the RIDGE PRO is firmly attached to the roof structure.
5. Carefully remove each bolt from the pre-drilled holes after completing the work.
6. After removing the lag bolts, it is recommended that the holes left behind be filled with a weatherproof roofing sealant. This will help prevent any potential leaks or damage that may arise from these openings. Ensure that the sealant is applied evenly and covers the entire hole area.
7. With the holes filled, carefully lower the RIDGEPRO back down onto the roof's peak, making sure it is positioned securely and stable.
8. Finally, descend from the roof using the appropriate safety measures, ensuring a safe and secure exit.
By following these steps, you can effectively mount the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor onto your roof, ensuring a secure attachment while protecting your roof structure.

Excellent!
Easy to use website and purchasing. Super fast shipping! Following the instructions on this website, we bought an extension pole from the hardware store and modified it to fit. Very easy to do, economical, and efficient. We bought one to try out a few weeks ago and now have purchased three more for our company. Highly recommend this product.

Awesome tool
This is literally a life-saver. Super easy to use, really portable, instant setup. Is better than the Goat IMO because it gives you so much more range of movement on the roof. Having the mobility of using a rope gives me the range I need to do inspections. Plus I can throw it in the back of a SUV or trunk, no need for a big rack. All around a great product.
