How to Use

Follow the FallTech MFBH02 instructional supplement. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Attach the vest to the harness. Secure the internal fasteners and loops to the harness straps, keeping the dorsal D-ring exposed.
  2. Don the set like a jacket. Check the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades.
  3. Fasten every strap. Chest and leg straps must be fastened and snug before any tie-off.
  4. Zip the vest. Close the front zipper and proceed to the work location.
  5. Wash by hand. Clean the vest in a light solution of soap and water, then hang it to air dry.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect the vest and any attached harness before each use per the MFBH02 supplement and the harness manual.

  • Fabric: tears, burns, heavy soiling that hides the hi-vis color, and UV fading.
  • Striping: reflective tape intact and firmly stitched.
  • Zippers and fasteners: functional and complete.
  • Attachment loops: no cuts or pulled stitching.
  • Harness underneath: full inspection per the harness instruction manual.

Retire the vest when the color fades, the striping peels, or any closure fails; a faded vest no longer provides the intended visibility.
