FallTech 8127BFD FT-One 4D Construction Climbing Harness
The FallTech 8127BFD is an FT-One 4D Construction Climbing Full Body Harness, Tongue Buckle Leg Adjustments from the FT-One family, built around 4 D-rings (dorsal, hip, and sternal) with polyester webbing rated to 3,600 lb min. static strength.
It meets ANSI Z359.11-2021, OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140, CSA Z259.10-2018 and is available in 7 size options. Every unit ships with the full FallTech documentation package, linked below for your safety submittals.

Who Needs This Product
Crews who need a harness with 4 D-rings for fixed ladder climbing systems, pairing the front connection with fall arrest at the dorsal ring. The FT-One family is FallTech's answer for this tier of work, and this configuration adds the specific closure and D-ring arrangement listed in the specifications below.
Features
Comfort Legs® lateral leg
Comfort Legs® lateral leg strap construction greatly improves mobility and comfort.
New Modular Belt System™
New Modular Belt System™ allows for custom configuration of tool bag and pouch positions for ease of use, comfort, and efficiency.
ArrowGrip® dorsal D-ring plate
ArrowGrip® dorsal D-ring plate and new slip-resistant connectors minimize slippage for maximum comfort and minimal adjustment throughout the day.
Waist belt features four
Waist belt features four ANSI/ISEA 121-compliant tool tether anchor attachments, rated at five pounds each.
Industry-exclusive shoulder pad material
Industry-exclusive shoulder pad material is abrasion resistant to mitigate excess wear and keep the harness in service longer.
Advanced gel padding material
Advanced gel padding material disperses harness loads, eliminating hot spots and pressure points for all-day comfort.
Safety first. A full body harness is only one part of a personal fall arrest system. Verify anchorage strength, connector compatibility, and fall clearance before work begins, and never use a harness that has arrested a fall until a competent person removes it from service. When calculating minimum required fall clearance, the FallTech manual adds 1.5 ft for harness stretch and D-ring shift during arrest.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.11-2021
Meets the ANSI/ASSP standard for full body harnesses, covering design, testing, and marking requirements.
OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140
Satisfies OSHA construction and general industry requirements for personal fall arrest system body support.
CSA Z259.10-2018
Certified to the CSA standard for full body harnesses, accepted on Canadian jobsites.
Applications
How to Use
Donning a full body harness takes less than a minute once the straps are adjusted to your body.
- Inspect first. Check webbing, stitching, D-rings, and buckles for damage before every use. Remove the harness from service if you find cuts, burns, or deformed hardware.
- Don the harness. Hold the dorsal D-ring, shake the harness so the straps fall free, and slip it on like a jacket.
- Close and adjust. Connect the chest and leg closures, then adjust the torso so the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades.
- Check the fit. You should be able to slide a flat hand, but not a fist, under the leg straps. Tuck loose strap ends into the keepers.
- Connect and verify. Attach your lanyard or SRL to the correct D-ring for the task, and verify anchorage and clearance based on the delivery location of the work.
Inspection and Service Life
OSHA requires personal fall protection to be inspected before each use, and ANSI Z359.11 adds a formal inspection by a competent person at least annually. Log formal inspections so the service history follows the harness.
- Webbing: look for cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, chemical damage, and UV fading along every strap
- Stitching: check for pulled, broken, or abraded threads, especially at load-bearing junctions
- D-rings and hardware: confirm no cracks, sharp edges, corrosion, or distortion, and that buckles engage positively
- Labels: verify the label pack is present and legible, including the date of first use
- Load indicators: confirm the fall arrest indicator has not deployed
Retire the harness immediately if it has arrested a fall, if any inspection point fails, or if the label is missing or unreadable. Cut the webbing on retired units and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.

Who Needs This Product
This product is a confined space davit system - the rotating retrieval point that lowers and recovers workers and material over an opening. Confined space teams, utilities, and tank crews build their entry and non-entry rescue around it. It requires a rated winch or 3-way SRL, a full body harness, and a written rescue plan to form a complete system.
Features
360-degree boom
Swing the load over the opening and away to the landing zone.
Two integrated pulleys
Run a fall arrest SRL and a retrieval winch line simultaneously.
Permanent base options
Mount to steel, concrete, or a truck bed for mobile rescue.
Made in the USA
Patriot-line build for Buy American specs.
Removable boom
Lift the boom out when the entry point is not in use.
Tank and edge ready
Reaches over tank rims and leading edges.
