LPO62SADJ Combat 6 ft Tie-Back Twin Leg Lanyard, Snaphooks, 2-Pack

The Frontline LPO62SADJ is a twin leg shock absorbing lanyard with tie-back capability: each leg can wrap a structural member and clip back onto itself, turning any rated beam or rebar curtain into an anchor point without a separate anchorage strap.

Rated for fall arrest, work positioning, and tie-back applications onto structural members rated 5,000 lbs or above, with length adjustability and every hook 100 percent proof loaded to 3,600 lbs. One snap hook makes the harness connection; the leg ends carry snap hooks for the tie-back. Alloy steel hardware, zinc plated; 1 in polyester webbing with high-tenacity stitching; 310 lb capacity. ANSI Z359.3-2019, OSHA 1926 and 1910.

Who Needs This Product

This product is a triple-duty connecting device: fall arrest, work positioning, and tie-back anchorage in one twin leg lanyard. Ironworkers and concrete crews wrap a leg around the member, clip it back on itself, and keep moving - 100 percent tied off with no extra anchor hardware. You still need a full body harness to complete the system.

Features

Tie-back rated

Wrap the leg and clip back on itself onto any member rated 5,000 lbs or above - the lanyard IS the anchor strap.

Snap hooks for the wrap

Tie-back rated snap hooks clip back on the leg after the wrap - clean and compact.

Adjustable legs

Length adjustability tunes the working radius for positioning work.

100 percent tie-off

Twin legs leapfrog anchor to anchor with no unprotected moment.

Proof loaded hooks

Every hook individually proof loaded to 3,600 lbs.

Triple rated

Fall arrest, work positioning, and tie-back in one tool.

How to Use the LPO62SADJ

Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check webbing, adjusters, absorber, and all hooks before each use.
  2. Connect the center. Attach the absorber end to the dorsal D-ring of a full body harness.
  3. Wrap and tie back. Pass a leg around a member rated 5,000 lbs or above and clip the hook back onto its own leg per the manual.
  4. Leapfrog. Connect the second leg to the next member before releasing the first.
  5. Verify clearance. Confirm fall clearance including absorber deployment - run the calculator below.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Webbing: cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, chemical damage, or stiffness.
  • Adjuster and hardware: deformation, cracks, corrosion, slipping adjusters, or gates that fail to lock.
  • Stitching: broken, pulled, or abraded threads at terminations.
  • Energy absorber (where fitted): deployment or torn cover.
  • Markings: labels must be present and legible.

Retire the equipment immediately after any fall arrest event or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does tie-back rated mean?
The hooks and webbing are engineered so a leg can wrap a structural member and clip back onto itself - a move that destroys standard lanyards. It eliminates separate anchorage connectors on rated structure.
What structure can I tie back to?
Structural members rated 5,000 lbs or above, wrapped per the Frontline manual.
Is it fall arrest or positioning?
Both - it is rated for fall arrest, work positioning, and tie-back applications.
How is it different from the LPO62RADJ?
The LPO62RADJ carries large-throat rebar hooks at the leg ends - same tie-back rating, for wrapping rebar curtains and larger steel.
What is the rated capacity?
One worker with a maximum weight of 310 lbs including clothing and tools.
Can I reuse it after a fall?
No. The energy absorber is single-use. After any fall arrest event, retire and destroy the lanyard immediately.
What is the difference between fall arrest and fall restraint?
Fall arrest catches a worker after a fall happens; fall restraint prevents the worker from reaching the fall hazard in the first place. For a deeper walkthrough with system examples, read our guide: Fall Arrest vs. Fall Restraint. Use the Fall Protection Calculator below to size the right system for your job.
