Miller Fall Protection

H100 Full Body Harness with Tongue Leg Buckles

The Miller H100 series delivers a fundamental fall protection line with exceptional value, and the H1311002 configuration is the version for crews that prefer traditional belt-style adjustment: a back D-ring, a mating chest buckle, and tongue buckles on the legs that workers can set by feel.

Rated for a 420 lb worker with five points of adjustment and covered identification labels, the H100 meets the most common fall protection needs across construction and general industry while keeping the per-worker cost low.

S/M fits workers up to 5 ft 10 in and 170 lb, or up to 190 lb at 5 ft 6 in and under. Universal (L/XL) covers the broad middle and is the most popular size. XXL/XXXL fits workers over 6 ft who weigh over 270 lb, and any worker from 350 to 400 lb. Lighter boundary bands are overlap zones where either size fits: size down for a trim fit or up for room over layers. Some Miller spec sheets list these as Size 1 (S/M), Size 2 Universal (L/XL), and Size 3 (2XL and 3XL). Based on the manufacturer's published Miller sizing chart; verify fit per the user manual before first use.

Who Needs This Product

The H1311002 is for crews that want the H100 price point with the leg buckle style workers already know from tool belts: indexed holes, a positive tongue, and an adjustment that stays put once set. It outfits new hires, temporary labor, and rental fleets with certified fall arrest at minimal cost. Workers who prefer one buckle style everywhere should look at the all-mating H1111002, and crews that want padding step up to the H500 series.

Features

Tongue Leg Buckles

Belt-style tongue buckles give a positive, indexed leg strap adjustment that workers can set by feel, even with gloves on.

Mating Chest Buckle

The interlocking chest buckle seats positively and is simple to verify visually, with nothing to foul with dirt or ice.

Back D-Ring

A steel dorsal D-ring provides the fall arrest connection point, positioned between the shoulder blades.

Covered ID Labels

Protected identification labels stay legible for the life of the harness, keeping size checks and inspection records easy.

Five Points of Adjustment

Adjustment at the chest, both shoulders, and both legs delivers a custom fit from one low-cost platform.

Vibrant Color Webbing

Distinctive yellow webbing makes the harness easy to spot in the crib and on the worker.

Sizes and Ordering Information

SizeSKUUPC
S/MH13110021612230242800
L/XLH13110022612230241438

Both stocked sizes are selectable from the size options above. The L/XL size fits the majority of workers.

Fit before the first step up. Adjust all five points so the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades, the chest strap crosses mid-chest, and the leg straps allow a flat hand but not a fist. A harness that has arrested a fall is done: remove it from service immediately.

Compliance Standards

ANSI Z359.11

Certified to the ANSI/ASSE Z359.11 standard for full body harnesses, covering design, testing, and marking requirements.

OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140

Meets OSHA requirements for personal fall arrest system body wear in both construction and general industry.

ANSI Z359.2

The inspection program for this harness follows ANSI Z359.2: user inspection before each use plus documented competent person inspection at least annually.

Typical Applications

Outfitting new hires and temporary labor with certified fall arrest body wear.
Crews that prefer belt-style tongue buckle leg adjustment.
General construction and framing crews buying harnesses in quantity.
Roofing work when paired with a compliant anchor and connecting device.
Warehouse, mezzanine, and maintenance tasks with occasional at-height exposure.
Kits and compliance packages built around a dependable entry-level harness.

Donning Overview

  1. Hold the harness by the back D-ring and shake it out so the straps hang free without twists.
  2. Slip the shoulder straps on like a vest, keeping the webbing flat against the body.
  3. Connect the chest buckle and position the chest strap across the middle of the chest.
  4. Fasten each leg buckle so the strap allows a flat hand between the strap and the leg, but not a fist.
  5. Work through all five adjustment points until the dorsal D-ring rests between the shoulder blades, then stow the strap ends.

Full donning and adjustment instructions are in the Miller harness manual linked in the documentation section below.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect this harness before each use, and have a competent person other than the user formally inspect it at least annually per ANSI Z359.2. Check each point below and record the results on the inspection form linked in the documentation section.

  • Webbing: cuts, frays, burns, chemical damage, UV fading, or broken stitching anywhere on the harness.
  • Hardware: D-rings and buckles for cracks, corrosion, distortion, or sharp edges.
  • Adjusters and keepers: slippage, missing keepers, or strap ends that will not stay stowed.
  • Labels: present and legible, including the size, standards, and serial information.

Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, any webbing or hardware defect found during inspection, or any condition where the inspector cannot positively verify the harness is fit for service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes does the H100 tongue buckle harness come in?
This page stocks S/M and L/XL. The L/XL fits the majority of workers, and the vendor also makes a 2XL/3XL size; contact us if you need it.
What is the difference between the H1311002 and H1111002 configurations?
Both are H100 series harnesses with a back D-ring and mating chest buckle. This H1311002 version uses tongue leg buckles for belt-style adjustment; the H1111002 uses mating buckles on the legs so there is one buckle style throughout.
Why choose tongue leg buckles?
Tongue buckles index into webbing holes like a belt, so the adjustment is positive, repeatable, and easy to set by feel with gloves on. Many workers find them the most familiar buckle on the jobsite.
What is the maximum working load?
The H100 is rated for a 420 lb worker including clothing, tools, and equipment. Confirm that your lanyard or SRL carries a matching capacity rating.
Is this a real ANSI harness at this price?
Yes. The H100 series is certified to ANSI Z359.11 and meets OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140. The value comes from a simple feature set, not from skipping certification.
What are covered ID labels?
The identification and standards labels sit in a protected pouch, so they stay legible for the life of the harness. A harness with missing or unreadable labels must be removed from service.
How often does the harness need to be inspected?
Inspect it before each use, and have a competent person inspect it at least annually per ANSI Z359.2. Retire the harness after any fall arrest event or any failed inspection.
