Super Anchor Temporary ARS 2x8 Reusable Roof Anchor

The Super Anchor Temporary ARS 2x8 follows the same design principles as the ARS permanent roof anchors but is built for framing tradesmen who need a quick, reusable anchorage for lanyards, lifelines, or self-retracting lifelines. It is made from 11 gauge powder coated steel and comes with a 3/8 inch stainless steel detent pin with an elastic tether.

One anchor covers a range of framing. The 1014 fits 2x4, 2x6, and 2x8 trusses and rafters. It is rated for OSHA fall arrest with a 5,000 pound minimum tensile strength and a 310 pound maximum user weight, and the powder coat finish stands up to jobsite use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What framing does it fit?
One anchor fits 2x4, 2x6, and 2x8 trusses and rafters. Confirm each component in the system is compatible and rated for the intended use before connecting to it. Before every use, confirm the product is compatible with the rest of your fall protection system and that you have adequate fall clearance below the work area.
How is it secured?
With a 3/8 inch stainless steel detent pin that has an elastic tether so the pin stays with the anchor. Refer to the specification table above for full details on construction, finish, and sizing. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application.
Is it reusable?
Yes. It is a temporary anchor built to move around the job during framing and roofing. Evaluate the job site and access requirements so the anchor point is positioned safely for the task. A qualified person should verify that the installation and the overall system meet the requirements of your specific job site.
What can I connect to it?
A lanyard, vertical lifeline, or self-retracting lifeline, with a full-body harness. Pair it only with connectors and equipment that are approved for use together so the complete system performs as designed. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application.
How many workers per anchor?
One. Attach only one person or one connector to each anchor. A correct installation is critical, so confirm the setup matches the manufacturer instructions before any worker ties off. For complete protection, pair it with a compatible full body harness, connector, and shock absorbing lanyard or self retracting lifeline.
What is the leading edge setback?
A minimum of 6 feet from the leading edge for leading edge use, per the instruction manual. Make sure the connecting hardware and anchorage suit your application before you attach a lanyard or lifeline. For complete protection, pair it with a compatible full body harness, connector, and shock absorbing lanyard or self retracting lifeline.
Do I need a harness with this anchor?
Yes. The anchor is an anchorage point only and must be paired with a full-body harness and a connecting device. Pair it only with connectors and equipment that are approved for use together so the complete system performs as designed. Before every use, confirm the product is compatible with the rest of your fall protection system and that you have adequate fall clearance below the work area.
