Frequently Asked Questions

What is the DBI-SALA 3500276?
DBI-SALA Nano-Lok edge Twin-Leg Personal Self-Retracting Lifeline 3500276, Galvanized Cable, 8 ft. It is a twin-leg personal self-retracting lifeline with a 8 ft galvanized cable lifeline, rated to 420 lb.
What does Class 2 mean under ANSI/ASSP Z359.14-2021?
Class 2 devices are rated for anchoring at or below the dorsal D-ring, including foot-level tie-off, and are tested for leading edge exposure. This Nano-Lok Edge model is a Class 2 device, so it covers sharp-edge work that Class 1 units are not rated for.
What is the capacity of the 3500276?
420 lb including the worker, clothing, tools, and equipment.
Why choose a twin-leg SRL?
Twin-leg units provide 100 percent tie-off: one leg stays connected while the other moves to the next anchor point, so the worker is never unprotected during transitions.
What connectors does the 3500276 have?
The anchorage end carries the standard connector and the lifeline end carries rebar snap hook. Match connectors to your anchor hardware before ordering.
Is the 3500276 RFID equipped?
Yes. The built-in RFID tag works with 3M Connected Safety ID, letting safety managers scan the unit to log documented inspections digitally and manage fall protection inventory across the fleet.
How often does the 3500276 need inspection?
Inspect before each use: housing, full lifeline payout, energy absorber and impact indicator, retraction, and both connectors. A competent person must also inspect the unit on a documented schedule per ANSI/ASSP Z359.14 and the manual. Any deployed impact indicator or failed check removes the unit from service.
