FallTech Arc Flash Adjustable Restraint Lanyard, 4 to 6 ft
Features Nomex and Kevlar webbing for Arc Flash protection. Includes steel snap hook for dorsal and anchorage attachment.
Restraint lanyard effectively restricts users from reaching identified fall hazards. Complies with ANSI Z359.3-2017 and ASTM F887.

Who Needs This Product
Restraint is the smartest fall protection there is: rig the lanyard short enough that the worker cannot reach the edge, and the fall never starts. Crews use fixed and adjustable restraint lanyards on roofs, aerial lifts, and elevated platforms where the work zone can be defined. Restraint lanyards have no energy absorber because they are never exposed to free fall.

Complies
Complies with ANSI Z359.3-2017 and ASTM F887.
Restraint only works if the edge stays out of reach. This lanyard has no energy absorber and is never rated for free fall. Rig it so the worker cannot reach the fall hazard at full extension, or use a fall arrest connector instead.

Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Measure the zone. The lanyard length, plus your reach, must stop short of the fall hazard.
- Connect both ends. Harness attachment to a rated anchor with the hooks or loop provided.
- Set adjustable models. Dial the length so the edge is out of reach even at full stretch.
- Keep it restraint. If the geometry allows any free fall, switch to an energy absorbing lanyard or SRL.
- Inspect and log. Webbing, hardware, and stitching before each use.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent person inspection at least annually.
- Webbing, rope, or cable: cuts, fraying, kinks, corrosion.
- Adjusters: hold position under load; no slipping.
- Hooks: gates close and lock; no deformation.
- Labels: legible and logged.
Retirement triggers: any fall loading, damaged line or hardware, or a failed inspection.
