Unlock the full potential of your roofing projects with RidgePro™, the innovative and cost-effective roof anchoring system. While the extension pole is available locally at Home Depot for around $40, we recommend securing one in-store to avoid shipping damages, ensuring a seamless and budget-friendly experience. Look for the Wooster Surelock R057 8'-16' in the paint department for a sturdy and reliable extension for your Ridge Pro system.  Once you get the pole, simply remove the two screws holding the threaded tip in the end and drill those holes out to 1/4" to accept the RidgePro device.   The Ridge Pro post will slide inside of the pole and can be secured using the clevis pin that came with the RidgePro.

Why Choose RidgePro?

The Ridge Pro is the go-to "first man up" roof anchoring system designed for 6/12 to 12/12 roof pitches, catering to a spectrum of professionals, including Contractors, Roofers, Solar Installers, Chimney Sweeps, Telecom Installers, Gutter Installers, Insurance Adjusters, Rescue teams, and DIY Homeowners. Unlike traditional chicken ladders, Ridge Pro offers faster, safer, and more flexible access to the roof, thanks to its vertical lifeline security.

The RidgePro allows for safe temporary anchoring from the ladder to the peak of the roof.  Faster than traditional chicken ladders and also allows for horizontal mobility because you are secured to a vertical lifeline.  The base is padded to protect the roof and accepts four 5/16" lg bolts to make it an OSHA Compliant as an anchoring device. The body is made from durable, lightweight aluminum with a stainless rope shackle making it mobile and incredibly strong!  Contractors are switching to the RidgePro and saving on walkboards and scaffolding costs!

This is the latest version of the RIDGEPRO™ and it is compliant with OSHA standard 1926 Subpart M for a single user when anchored, withstanding and exceeding 5,000 pounds of static strength force. When not anchored, OSHA does not regulate "non-anchors" so you would be working with The RIDGEPRO™ as an inspection tool, which grants 15 minutes of time on the roof before you must anchor.

Durable Construction: Crafted from durable, lightweight aluminum with a stainless rope shackle, RidgePro combines mobility with strength, offering a reliable solution for various roofing applications.

Cost-Effective: Contractors are making the switch to RidgePro, saving on walkboards and scaffolding costs. It's a smart investment that pays off in efficiency and safety.

The RidgePro features cross members that straddle the peak of the roof, with pre-drilled holes for anchoring. Use 5/16" x 1 1/2" lag bolts (sold separately) to attach RidgePro securely to the structure. After completing the job, remove the bolts and fill the holes with weatherproof roofing sealant (sold separately).

Suitable for Various Professions: Roofing contractors, insurance claims adjusters, solar installers, pest control technicians, and holiday light installers benefit from the safety and efficiency RidgePro brings to their daily tasks.

How RidgePro Works: Ensure all safety precautions are taken at the jobsite. Assemble RidgePro, match the roof pitch, attach the extension pole, and clip your lifeline. Hang RidgePro temporarily from the gutter or ladder at roof level. Climb the ladder until your belt is even with RidgePro. Roll RidgePro using the extension pole until it reaches the roof peak. Flip RidgePro over, straddle the ridge, and pull firmly on the lifeline to set it in place. Safely transition to the roof using a lifeline rope grab. Attach four 5/16” x 1 ½” lag screws for a secure tie-off.

Tested and Approved: RidgePro has undergone rigorous testing and is compliant with OSHA standards, providing a safe and efficient solution for roof work.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the Ridge Pro just for roofers? No, the RidgePro is designed for various industries, including solar installers, chimney repair crews, insurance claims inspectors, pest control technicians, and holiday light installers.

Will the Ridge Pro work on any roof? The RidgePro is optimized for shingled roofs at pitches from 6/12 to 12/12. For pitches from 6/12 to 8/12, permanent mounting is advised, even for quick jobs.

How does the Ridge Pro mount to the roof?  Secure RidgePro directly to the roof using four 5/16” x 1 ½” lag screws through the pre-drilled holes. Remove the screws after use and fill the holes with roofing sealant.

Does the Ridge Pro come with an extension pole? RidgePro is sold in three versions.  We don't sell the Wooster Sherlock 8'-16' pole as they tend to get broken during shipping.  Purchase yours at your local Home Depot in the paint department.

Am I in violation of not having a "3-point contact" when installing the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor?

According to the information provided, the question of whether you are in violation of not having a "3-point contact" when installing the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor can be answered as follows:

During the installation of the RIDGEPRO, you are not considered to be ascending or descending but rather working on a "working platform." Therefore, three-point contact, which is typically used when ascending or descending, may not be required in this specific context. It is important to note that a two-point stance is generally permitted when working on a working platform.

How much testing went into the RIDGE PRO Roof Peak Anchor before bringing it to the market?  The RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor underwent meticulous testing procedures before being introduced to the market. Extensive field testing was conducted over a period of two years in order to ensure its effectiveness and safety. During this extensive testing phase, the device received numerous inquiries for purchasing, indicating the strong demand in the market. These encouraging responses from potential buyers ultimately led to the decision to commence production. Therefore, the RIDGE PRO Roof Peak Anchor had undergone rigorous testing in real-world conditions before its market introduction.

Can the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor be used on a new roof without asphalt shingles?  Yes, the Ridge Pro can be used on roofs during construction without roofing materials in place.

How much of the roof can I access once the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor is installed?  Once the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor is securely installed, you will have the ability to access the entire surface of the roof. By ensuring that the RIDGEPRO is properly anchored, you can confidently move about and perform tasks on all areas of the roof. However, if for any reason the RIDGEPRO is not adequately anchored, it is important to exercise caution and limit your movement to the wheel side of the roof. In such cases, you can still benefit from the functionality of the extension pole, allowing you to swing up to 30 degrees from the center in either direction. Therefore, by utilizing the RIDGE PRO Roof Peak Anchor and maintaining proper anchoring, you can maximize your roof accessibility and perform tasks with enhanced safety and efficiency.

How do I mount the RIDGE PRO Roof Peak Anchor into the roof?

To mount the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor into the roof, follow these steps:

1. Start by identifying the cross members located in the front and back of the RIDGEPRO that will straddle the peak of the roof.

2. Each of these cross members will have two pre-drilled holes. These holes are designed to receive 5/16" x 1 1/2" lag bolts, which will be used to attach the RIDGE PRO to the structure of the roof.

3. Begin by aligning the cross members of the RIDGE PRO with the peak of the roof, ensuring that they are positioned securely.

4. Take the lag bolts and insert them one by one into the pre-drilled holes on each cross member. Use the appropriate tools, such as a wrench or socket, to securely tighten the lag bolts, ensuring that the RIDGE PRO is firmly attached to the roof structure.

5. Once the job is completed and you no longer require the RIDGEPRO, it is important to remove the lag bolts. Carefully remove each bolt from the pre-drilled holes using the appropriate tool.

6. After removing the lag bolts, it is recommended to fill the holes left behind with a weatherproof roofing sealant. This will help to prevent any potential leaks or damage that may arise from these openings. Ensure that the sealant is applied evenly and covers the entire hole area.

7. With the holes filled, carefully lower the RIDGEPRO back down onto the peak of the roof. Make sure it is positioned securely and stable.

8. Finally, descend from the roof using the appropriate safety measures, ensuring a safe and secure exit.

By following these steps, you can effectively mount the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor onto your roof and ensure a secure attachment while keeping your roof structure protected.

Can the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor be used without a ridge vent?  According to our findings, it is indeed possible to use the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor without a ridge vent. While we have received feedback from users who have chosen to do so, we would like to clarify that we cannot officially endorse this practice. The recommended use for the RIDGEPRO is primarily as an anchor or a tool to assist in positioning oneself on the roof, in order to utilize another anchor. It is important to note that the design of the RIDGEPRO did not specifically take into consideration the presence of a ridge vent, but rather focuses on effectively navigating the angle at the roof peak. As each roofing situation may vary, we feel it is difficult to provide a generalized response encompassing all scenarios.

How much does the RIDGEPRO Roof Peak Anchor cost?  The current cost of the RidgePro varies depending on the bundle you decide to purchase.  The three kits available are the RidgePro hook only, the RidgePro hook plus a 50' vertical lifeline with rope grab and shock pack, and finally the RidgePro hook, 50' vertical lifeline, plus a Malta Dynamics harness.

Easy to use website and purchasing. Super fast shipping! Following the instructions on this website, we bought an extension pole from the hardware store and modified it to fit. Very easy to do, economical, and efficient. We bought one to try out a few weeks ago and now have purchased three more for our company. Highly recommend this product.

    Awesome tool

This is literally a life-saver. Super easy to use, really portable, instant setup. Is better than the Goat IMO because it gives you so much more range of movement on the roof. Having the mobility of using a rope gives me the range I need to do inspections. Plus I can throw it in the back of a SUV or trunk, no need for a big rack. All around a great product.
