The industry's only non-penetrating anchor plate and lifeline mount for standing seam roof systems.
The SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundle provides everything you need to secure an anchor point to a standing-seam roof. This assembly includes two SSRA1 Seam Anchors, one SSRA3 Anchor Plate, and a 5,000-lb D-Ring for a strong, OSHA-compliant tie-off system that works with most standing-seam profiles 12 to 24 inches wide.
Use it as a single-worker tie-off for personal fall arrest or as one end anchor for a temporary horizontal lifeline system. When used with a lifeline, two of these assemblies are required—one at each end of the span. This assembly is a flexible option for roofing contractors, maintenance crews, or anyone who needs a safe, non-penetrating way to tie off on standing-seam metal.

▶ SSRA1 Compatibility Overview
This Panel Compatibility Chart is provided only as a reference. It does not determine structural integrity. It is the Competent Person's responsibility to verify suitability. Approved only for 22- and 24-gauge steel. Not for aluminum, zinc, copper, or other soft metals.
▶ Nailstrip Panel Warning
Nailstrip-style panels are approximately 50% compatible. Some seams are too wide at the base, which can allow anchor movement.
▶ Installer Responsibility
It is solely the installer's responsibility to confirm SSRA1 suitability. The employer and Competent Person must evaluate structural suitability for fall arrest loads.
▶ Test Fit Recommendation
Perform a test fit with an RCT seam clamp or SSRA1 anchor well before installation.
▶ Set-Screw Options
- Cupped-tip: 22-gauge steel—torque to 90 in-lbs
- Nylon-tip: 22/24-ga steel—torque to 180–200 in-lbs
▶ Surface Impact
Minor seam dimpling and paint abrasion may occur. Scratches can be touched up with a matching paint pen.
Key Features of the SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundle

SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundle FAQ
How many workers can tie off to a single SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundle?
When used as a standalone anchor, the SSRA3 Anchor Plate is certified for one worker (up to 310 lbs, including tools) for fall arrest. If this bundle is used to support a horizontal lifeline, the lifeline system's capacity is limited to two workers.
Do I need two bundles to set up a horizontal lifeline?
Yes. A horizontal lifeline requires a terminal anchor at each end. You will need two (2) SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundles (which totals 4 SSRA1 anchors and 2 plates) to properly support a temporary HLL system across a roof span.
What is the maximum seam spacing for the SSRA3 plate?
The SSRA3 plate features adjustable mounting channels designed to accommodate standing-seam spacing between 12 and 24 inches.
Can I mount a self-retracting lifeline (SRL) to this plate?
Absolutely. The SSRA3 plate is a universal mounting platform. The 5,000-lb D-ring is an ideal attachment point for leading-edge SRLs.
What torque is required for the anchor plate top bolts?
The SSRA1 base anchors require 90 in-lbs (cupped tips) or 180-200 in-lbs (nylon). The Grade 8 top bolts securing the plate to the anchors should be tightened until snug with a standard wrench.
Is this bundle compatible with 24-gauge steel?
Yes, however, you must use nylon-tipped set screws. Our testing confirms that nylon tips provide a superior grip on thinner 24-gauge steel without tearing the metal.
How do I avoid common installation problems?
- Mechanical Alignment: Ensure the two SSRA1 anchors are parallel before bolting down the plate.
- Grade 8 Hardware: Only use the provided hardware.
- Avoid Impact Tools: Never use impact drivers on the anchors.
