The FallTech 727630LE is a 30 ft Contractor leading-edge self-retracting lifeline (SRL-LE) rated for foot-level and sharp-edge fall hazards. The 7/32 in galvanized steel cable and integrated external energy absorber are built to arrest a fall over a leading edge, and the load-indicating swivel snap hook shows a fall event and helps prevent lifeline twist.
Choose your certification at checkout: ANSI Z359.14 SRL-LE for US jobsites or CSA Z259.2.2-2017 for Canada. The device may be anchored from overhead down to foot level, up to 5 ft below the dorsal D-ring. Rated for a single user of up to 310 lb combined weight.

This product is a leading-edge self-retracting lifeline (SRL-LE), a fall-arrest device rated for foot-level tie-off and sharp-edge exposure where a standard overhead SRL cannot be used. Deck crews, steel erectors, and roofers use the 30 ft LE Contractor to tie off at or below the walking surface. You still need a certified full-body harness and a rated anchorage to complete the system.

Typical Applications
How to Use the 30' LE Cable SRL
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the lifeline, braking (sharp-pull lock test), housing, energy absorber, and all connectors before each use.
- Anchor. Connect the anchorage end to a rated anchor; may be at foot level up to 5 ft below the dorsal D-ring for leading-edge use.
- Connect to the harness. Attach the connector to the dorsal D-ring of a certified full-body harness.
- Confirm the connections. Verify every gate is fully closed and locked.
- Verify clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall below the work surface, and run the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the SRL from service for any of the conditions below.
- Lifeline: cuts, fraying, abrasion, corrosion, kinks, burns, or chemical damage.
- Braking: the lifeline must lock sharply on a quick pull test.
- Housing: cracks, loose fasteners, or a damaged lifeline exit.
- Energy absorber / load indicator: any sign of deployment or activation.
- Connectors and swivels: deformation, corrosion, or gates that fail to lock.
Retire the SRL immediately after any fall-arrest event, or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
