FallTech 7420 Rotating D-Ring Roof Anchor
The FallTech 7420 Rotating D-Ring Roof Anchor mounts to a roof structure and provides a forged D-ring that swivels a full 360 degrees, so the connection follows the worker across the roof without twisting the lifeline.
It is certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017, rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN), for one worker up to 310 lb (ANSI) or 425 lb (OSHA).

Who Needs This Product
This product is a rotating D-ring roof anchor, the anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Roofing and maintenance crews mount it to the roof structure for a swiveling tie-off point that tracks the worker, then connect an SRL or lanyard. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device.
Features
360-degree swivel
The forged D-ring rotates fully so the lifeline follows the worker across the roof.
Reduces lifeline twist
The swivel keeps the connection aligned to cut side loading.
Forged steel D-ring
Strong connection point for an SRL or lanyard.
Roof mount
Fastens to the roof structure per the manual.
Low-profile
Compact anchor point on the roof.
ANSI Z359.18-2017
Certified anchorage rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
Mount to a sound, rated roof structure per the manual. Fasten the anchor to framing or structure rated to support it, using the specified fasteners, and seal the mount appropriately. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.

Typical Applications
How to Install
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the anchor body, connection point, and hardware for damage before each use.
- Prepare the structure. Confirm the mounting surface is sound and rated to support the anchor per the manual.
- Install and secure. Mount the anchor as specified and set all fasteners to the required torque.
- Connect. Attach your SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard to the connection point.
- Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Anchor body and welds: cracks, bending, deformation, or corrosion.
- D-ring or connection point: deformation, sharp edges, cracks, or corrosion.
- Fasteners and hardware: damaged threads, loose or missing fasteners.
- Labels: illegible or missing markings.
Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
