FallTech 9' FT-X Web Class 1 SRL-P, Twin-Leg
The 84709 9 ft FT-X Web Class 1 SRL-P, Twin-Leg is a twin-leg personal self-retracting device for 100 percent tie-off. Two 9' Dyneema web lifelines pay out and retract as you move, allowing you to stay connected while transitioning between anchor points, and the whole assembly weighs just 6.0 lb.
It is certified to ANSI Z359.14-2021 as a Class 1 SRL-P, for one worker from 130 to 310 lb under ANSI and up to 420 lb under OSHA. The light green housings denote Class 1 certified performance for anchoring at or above the D-ring. Choose the hook configuration for your anchorage.

Who Needs This Product
This product is a twin-leg personal self-retracting device (SRL-P), the connecting component of a personal fall arrest system for workers who move between anchor points. The worker wears both SRDs at the harness dorsal and alternates legs to stay connected 100 percent of the time. Class 1 devices anchor at or above the D-ring, away from edge exposure. What is included: the twin-leg SRL-P assembly only; the harness shown in photos is sold separately. You still need a certified full-body harness and rated anchorages.
Features
100 percent tie-off
The twin-leg configuration allows you to stay connected while moving between anchor points.
Segment-leading lightweight design

Dyneema web lifelines
High-strength and lightweight 9' Dyneema/polyester webbing with a 4,500 lb minimum strength.
Push-button dorsal connector
The unique aluminum dorsal connector offers a streamlined attachment with clear visual confirmation.
Reduced nuisance lockups

Class 1 twin-leg SRL-P for at-or-above D-ring anchorage. Anchor at or above the harness D-ring, away from leading edge exposure; use a Class 2 device for foot-level or edge tie-off. The maximum arrest distance is 42 inches, which is one part of your Minimum Required Fall Clearance (MRFC). Confirm required fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.

Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manual (MSRD42). The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check both lifelines, retraction, locks, housings, dorsal connector, and hooks before each use.
- Mount the SRD. Attach the aluminum dorsal connector to the harness dorsal D-ring until it clicks and shows engaged.
- Connect the first leg. Attach one hook to a rated anchor at or above the D-ring.
- Alternate legs to move. Connect the second leg to the next anchor before releasing the first, keeping 100 percent tie-off.
- Confirm clearance. Verify required fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the SRD from service for any of the conditions below.
- Lifeline: cuts, fraying, burns, chemical damage.
- Retraction and lock: a lifeline that will not retract or lock on a sharp pull.
- Energy absorber: a deployed or torn tear-away cover.
- Housing, dorsal connector, and hardware: cracks, deformation, or corrosion.
- Connectors and hooks: bent gates, corrosion, or gates that will not lock.
- Labels: illegible or missing markings.
Remove the SRD from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
