FallTech Anti-Panic Trailing Hinged Fall Arrester
Hinged design allows user installation at any point on the lifeline. Anti-panic function places pressure on the lifeline should a user grip the lever in the open position.
Trailing mobility follows ascending and descending user with minimal effort. Cam-action braking design quickly locks on the lifeline to arrest the fall.

Who Needs This Product
The rope grab is the moving connection on a vertical lifeline: it follows the worker up and down the line and locks instantly when a fall starts. Trailing and self-tracking models follow hands-free, manual models set by hand, and anti-panic versions lock even if the worker grabs the device in a fall, the instinctive reaction that defeats lesser grabs.

Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Match the rope. These grabs run 5/8 in lifelines; verify the rope specification.
- Install arrow up. The grab is directional; the arrow points to the anchor.
- Connect the lanyard. Grab to harness dorsal D-ring via its integrated or attached lanyard.
- Work the line. Trailing models follow; manual models set above the work.
- Test the lock. Sharp pull before each use to verify engagement.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a competent person inspection at least annually.
- Cam and springs: engage and release cleanly.
- Body and hinge: no cracks, wear, or corrosion.
- Lanyard (where fitted): webbing and absorber condition.
- Lock test: grabs the line on a sharp pull.
Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, failed lock test, or visible damage.
