How to Use

Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Position the vehicle. Back in so the davit reach places the anchor over the portal, set the parking brake, and chock the wheels.
  2. Mount the component. Insert it into the Class 3 minimum 2 in square receiver and pin it.
  3. Assemble and verify. Build the mast and arm, mount your device, and confirm stability before use.
  4. Keep the vehicle parked. The vehicle stays stationary with keys controlled while the system is occupied.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect the components before each use. A competent person must inspect them at least annually.

  • Receiver tube: cracks, deformation, and corrosion.
  • Pins: correct size, full engagement, and no wear grooves.
  • Welds: no cracking or rust jacking.
  • Vehicle hitch: rated Class 3 or higher and in good condition.

Retirement triggers: any fall load on the system, weld cracks, or receiver deformation.
