Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Position the vehicle. Back in so the davit reach places the anchor over the portal, set the parking brake, and chock the wheels.
- Mount the component. Insert it into the Class 3 minimum 2 in square receiver and pin it.
- Assemble and verify. Build the mast and arm, mount your device, and confirm stability before use.
- Keep the vehicle parked. The vehicle stays stationary with keys controlled while the system is occupied.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect the components before each use. A competent person must inspect them at least annually.
- Receiver tube: cracks, deformation, and corrosion.
- Pins: correct size, full engagement, and no wear grooves.
- Welds: no cracking or rust jacking.
- Vehicle hitch: rated Class 3 or higher and in good condition.
Retirement triggers: any fall load on the system, weld cracks, or receiver deformation.
