CSQ275 Dual Connector Carabiner for Twin SRLs, 4-Pack

The Frontline CSQ275 is a dual connector that solves a common twin-leg problem: it joins both connectors of a twin-leg SRL or lanyard to a single harness dorsal D-ring, so the two legs share one secure, correctly-loaded attachment instead of crowding or cross-loading the ring.

Built from self-locking steel and rated to 5,000 lbs, it gives twin-leg users the manufacturer-intended harness connection. Built to ANSI Z359.12 for connecting components, aligning with OSHA 1926 and 1910 - the right link between a twin-leg device and the back D-ring.

Who Needs This Product

This product is a connecting component - the rated link between elements of a personal fall arrest or restraint system. Workers use it to join lanyards, SRLs, anchors, and harness D-rings. It must be self-locking and size-and-shape compatible with what it connects to, and used only as part of a complete system with a full body harness.

Features

Stops back-D-ring crowding

Joins both legs of a twin device into one attachment instead of forcing two connectors onto one ring.

Loads the ring the right way

Keeps the legs from cross-loading or side-loading the dorsal D-ring.

The manufacturer-intended connection

Gives twin-leg SRLs and lanyards the back-D-ring hookup they are designed for.

Self-locking, no rollout

A deliberate action to open, so it will not disengage in use.

One per worker

Outfit a four-person crew or four twin-leg devices from the 4-pack.

Works with any twin-leg device

Pairs with twin-leg SRLs and lanyards that use compatible connectors.

Self-locking and compatible, always. Use this connector only where its size and shape cannot roll out or load the gate against what it connects to. Never connect two snap hooks together, never load the gate, and confirm the keylock or quarter-turn lock is fully engaged before trusting the connection.

Compliance Standards

ANSI Z359.12

American National Standard for connecting components for personal fall arrest systems.

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502

Federal construction fall protection criteria, including connector requirements.

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.140

General industry personal fall protection system requirements.

How to Use the CSQ275

Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check the body, gate, and locking mechanism before each use.
  2. Check compatibility. Confirm the connector size and shape suit what it connects to - no roll-out risk.
  3. Connect. Open the gate, make the connection, and let the gate close.
  4. Lock it. Engage and confirm the keylock or quarter-turn lock is fully seated.
  5. Load correctly. Ensure the load runs along the spine, never against the gate.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Visual: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or damaged welds on load-bearing parts.
  • Moving/locking parts: gates, jaws, pins, and locks operate and lock positively.
  • Connection points: D-rings, eyes, and hooks free of wear, elongation, or sharp edges.
  • Fasteners: present, correct, and fully engaged per the manual.
  • Markings: labels must be present and legible.

Retire the equipment immediately after any fall arrest event or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Frontline CSQ275 dual connector?
The CSQ275 is a self-locking steel dual connector that joins both connectors of a twin-leg SRL or lanyard to a single harness dorsal D-ring. It gives twin-leg users the manufacturer-intended back-D-ring connection, rated to 5,000 lb and built to ANSI Z359.12.
What problem does the CSQ275 solve?
Clipping two separate leg connectors into one back D-ring tends to crowd the ring or cross-load the gates, which is unsafe. The CSQ275 combines both legs into one correctly-loaded attachment, so the twin-leg device connects to the harness the way the manufacturer intended.
How is the CSQ275 used and what does it connect to?
Both leg connectors of your twin-leg SRL or lanyard clip into the CSQ275, and the CSQ275 attaches to the harness dorsal (back) D-ring. It is a harness-side connector, not an anchorage connector - the legs still connect to rated anchors at their hook ends.
How strong is it?
The CSQ275 is rated to a 5,000 lb minimum strength and is self-locking steel. It is built to ANSI Z359.12 for connecting components, the standard that governs self-locking connectors for personal fall arrest systems.
Do I need one for every twin-leg device?
Yes - one CSQ275 per twin-leg SRL or lanyard worn, since each device needs a single correctly-loaded back-D-ring connection. This 4-pack outfits four workers, or four twin-leg devices, in one order.
How do I know the connection is compatible and will not roll out?
Self-locking connectors must be size- and shape-compatible with what they join so the gate cannot be forced open. Never load the gate, never connect snap hook to snap hook, and confirm the gate is fully closed and locked before use, per ANSI Z359 and the Frontline manual.
Is the CSQ275 OSHA compliant?
Yes - it is built to ANSI Z359.12 for connecting components and supports compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910. See the Submittals section for its documentation.
