LES61S-US Patriot 6 ft Single Leg Elastic Lanyard, Made in USA
The Frontline LES61S-US is a Patriot single leg elastic shock absorbing lanyard, proudly made in the USA using US and imported components. The elasticated polyester body contracts to 4.5 ft when relaxed and extends to 6 ft under load - no dragging tail, no tripping hazard, less snag.
Zinc plated alloy steel snaphooks ride at both ends. The shock absorber design limits fall forces to 900 lbs or less, the webbing carries an 8,500 lb breaking strength with a 5,000 lb minimum breaking strength at the connectors and 3,600 lb gates, and capacity is a generous 350 lbs. Contrasting safety green stitching makes inspection faster. Manufactured and tested by a UL registered ISO 9001:2015 firm to ANSI Z359.1, Z359.13, and A10.32, aligning with OSHA 1910 and 1926.

Who Needs This Product
This product is a fall arrest connecting device for crews that spec American-made equipment - Patriot gear satisfies Buy American purchasing programs while the elastic body and 350 lb capacity cover the widest range of workers. Clearance is everything with a shock absorbing lanyard. The energy absorber needs room to deploy below the work surface - account for free fall distance, absorber elongation, harness stretch, and worker height before trusting any tie-off point. Run the Fall Protection Calculator below, and keep the free fall within the limits in the Frontline manual.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.13
American National Standard for personal energy absorbers and energy absorbing lanyards.
ANSI Z359.1 / A10.32
Personal fall arrest system requirements and construction fall protection requirements.
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502
Federal construction fall protection criteria, including connecting device requirements.

Typical Applications
How to Use the LES61S-US
Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the elastic body, absorber, green stitching, and hooks before each use.
- Verify clearance. Confirm total fall clearance including absorber deployment - run the calculator below.
- Connect to the harness. Attach the absorber end to the dorsal D-ring of a full body harness.
- Anchor. Attach the anchor end to a rated anchorage connector at or above the D-ring where possible.
- Check the gates. Confirm every hook is fully closed and locked.
- Limit free fall. Work so free fall stays within the limits in the Frontline manual.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.
- Webbing: cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, chemical damage, or stiffness.
- Energy absorber: deployment, torn cover, or a tripped impact indicator.
- Stitching: broken, pulled, or abraded threads at terminations.
- Hooks: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or gates that fail to close and lock.
- Markings: labels must be present and legible.
Retire the lanyard immediately after any fall arrest event - the energy absorber is single-use - or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
