Why Roofing Contractors and Framers Buy the RORS01 by the 10-Pack

Single roof anchors are an inventory headache. By the time you remember to reorder, you're already on the next job. The Frontline RORS01 in a 10-pack solves both sides of that problem: roofing contractors stock crew trucks so the next tear-off, re-roof, or repair job has anchors ready before sunrise. New-construction framers and GCs can buy enough for an entire production house, a multi-unit roof, or an addition in a single transaction.

At 1.4 lbs per anchor and just 3" × 11.4" × 1/2", ten anchors fit in a small toolbox. Twelve fasteners (Grip-Rite 3.5" exterior screws or 16D galvanized framing nails) install each anchor in minutes with no special tools. When the job is done, the anchor stays as a permanent tie-off point or comes off with the temporary roof system — reusable, your call.

Available Colors — Choose Your Finish

Same anchor, same certification, same 10-pack pricing. Pick the finish that matches your roof, blends with shingles, or color-codes your crew gear. Need to mix colors? Add a 10-pack of one color, then a 10-pack of another to your cart — combine as many as you need. The bulk discount stacks across colors.

Galvanized Hot-dip finish, raw industrial look
Black Electrostatic paint, blends with dark shingles
Green Electrostatic paint, blends with weathered roofs

⚠ Roof Pitch — Read Before Ordering

The RORS01 is rated for residential roofs with a pitch of 0/12 to 4/12 (low-slope only). It cannot be used on pitches steeper than 4/12 or on standing-seam metal roofs.

For roof pitches above 4/12, you need a different anchor designed for steep-slope residential work. For standing-seam metal roofs, use a non-penetrating, clamp-on anchor such as the SSRA1. Not sure what applies to your project? Call us at 863-703-4522 before you buy.

The RORS01 was tested at Intertek's Cortland, NY facility on September 23–24, 2024. All required tests passed: design requirements, pre-conditioning, dynamic strength on Type A wood substrate (MAF up to 3,104 lbs across three samples), residual dynamic strength, static strength (5,000 lb test load held 3 minutes with no deformation greater than 1/8"), and marking and instructions. Testing completed by Alex Smith (Technician), reviewed by Matthew Stevens (Team Leader). Test Report No. 105938082CRT-003 | Issued September 27, 2024 | Available below

How to Install the Frontline RORS01 PitchFast Roof Anchor

The RORS01 installs in minutes with hand tools or a framing nailer. Follow the manufacturer's user manual for full instructions and always inspect the anchor before each use.

Tools & Supplies NeededDrill driver or framing nailer; pitch gauge or smartphone level; (12) 3.5" Grip-Rite exterior screws OR (12) 16D galvanized framing nails per anchor.
  1. Confirm Roof PitchVerify the roof pitch is between 0/12 and 4/12. Do not install on roofs steeper than 4/12 — the anchor is not rated for steeper pitches.
  2. Locate a Structural Wood TrussIdentify a wood truss, minimum 3.5" thick. The anchor must be installed directly over and into the truss, not into sheathing alone.
  3. Position the AnchorPlace the RORS01 with the connection point parallel to the user's path of travel and facing the fall hazard. The anchor must be positioned so the working angle stays within 15°.
  4. Drive 12 FastenersUse either (12) 3.5" Grip-Rite exterior screws or (12) 16D galvanized framing nails. A minimum of 8 fasteners must engage the structural wood truss; the remaining 4 may anchor into the sheathing.
  5. Inspect ConnectionsVerify all 12 fasteners are fully driven, the anchor sits flush, and there is no gap between the anchor base and the roof surface.
  6. Connect Fall ProtectionAttach a compatible self-retracting lanyard or shock-absorbing lanyard to the connection point. Confirm that total fall clearance below the work surface accounts for free fall (6 ft max), deceleration distance, harness stretch, and safety margin.
  7. Inspect Before Each UseBefore every shift and after any fall event, inspect the anchor, fasteners, and connection point for deformation, corrosion, or damage. Remove from service if any issue is found.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the RORS01 only sold in 10-packs?
Roofing crews and framers rarely need just one anchor. A typical residential roof uses several anchor points, and contractors stocking crew trucks need backup units on hand. Selling by the 10-pack is more economical for the buyer and lets us keep shipping fast and support strong. Buying five 10-packs (50 anchors) or more triggers an automatic $10-per-pack discount at checkout — that's $50 off a 5-pack order and $100 off a 10-pack order — applied automatically when your cart hits the threshold.
Can I order different colors in one shipment and still get the bulk discount?
Yes. Each 10-pack ships as a single color (Galvanized, Black, or Green), but you can mix colors in the same cart. The bulk discount applies to the total number of 10-packs ordered, regardless of color combination. So 3 Galvanized + 2 Black still triggers the $10-per-pack discount on all five.
What roof pitches is the RORS01 rated for?
The Frontline RORS01 PitchFast Roof Anchor is certified for residential roofs with a pitch between 0/12 and 4/12 (low slope). It is not rated for use on pitches steeper than 4/12 and is not designed for standing seam metal roofs. For steeper residential or commercial roofs, contact us at 863-703-4522 to spec a different anchor.
What fasteners do I need to install the RORS01?
Twelve fasteners per anchor: either (12) 3.5" Grip-Rite exterior screws OR (12) 16D galvanized framing nails. A minimum of 8 must engage the structural wood truss; the remaining 4 fasteners may be anchored into the sheathing. Substrate must be a structural wood truss, minimum 3.5" thick. Fasteners are not included — they are sourced locally to fit your project.
Is the RORS01 reusable or single-use?
The RORS01 can be installed either temporarily or permanently. It is reusable when properly removed and inspected for deformation, corrosion, or damage. Many contractors leave them in place as permanent tie-off points for future maintenance, inspection, or service work after the roof is complete — that's the most cost-effective use over the life of the roof.
Does the RORS01 meet OSHA and ANSI requirements?
Yes. The Frontline RORS01 is certified to ANSI/ASSP Z359.18-2017 (U.S. anchorage connector standard) by Intertek (NRTL) under Report No. 105938082CRT-003, dated September 27, 2024. It meets the 5,000 lb minimum strength requirement of OSHA 1926.502(d)(15) for construction and OSHA 1910.140 for general industry. The full Intertek test report is available in the Submittal Documents section below.
Can I use the RORS01 on standing seam metal roofs?
No. The RORS01 is designed for residential wood-truss construction with low-slope (0/12 to 4/12) roof decking. For standing-seam metal roofs, use a non-penetrating, clamp-on anchor designed for that application — we recommend the SSRA1, which fits 95% of standing-seam profiles in the industry.
What are the most common installation mistakes with the RORS01?
Four things to watch for: (1) Wrong roof pitch — the anchor is rated for 0/12 to 4/12 only. Don't install on steeper roofs. (2) Fasteners not engaging the truss — at least 8 of the 12 fasteners must hit the structural wood truss, not just the sheathing. Use a stud finder if the truss isn't visible from above. (3) Wrong fastener type — only 3.5" Grip-Rite exterior screws or 16D galvanized framing nails are approved. Drywall screws, deck screws, or roofing nails will not hold the rated load. (4) Anchor not flush — if there's any gap between the base and the roof surface, the load path is compromised. All fasteners must be fully driven.
