Internal Shock Lanyard, 6 ft with Steel Snap Hooks, 2-Pack
The Guardian 11200 packs the energy absorber inside the lanyard webbing itself: a 6 ft fall arrest lanyard with no external shock pack to snag, drag, or hang up on rebar and formwork. The internal absorber elongates during arrest to limit forces, and locking steel snap hooks finish both ends.
Certified to ANSI Z359.13 and compliant with OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140, the 11200 supports workers from 130 to 310 lbs including tools, with a 5,000 lbs tensile strength and a 6 ft maximum free fall. This 2-pack outfits two workers or keeps a spare in the gang box.

Who Needs This Product
The internal-shock design is the pick for workers who move through tight quarters: with the absorber woven into the lanyard body, there is no dangling shock pack to catch on rebar, scaffolding, or formwork, and the lanyard keeps a clean, low profile on the harness. It connects like any single leg lanyard: absorber end to the dorsal D-ring, free end to a compliant anchor. If you prefer a visible, external tear-away indicator, the Guardian external shock lanyard family is the alternative.
Features
Internal energy absorber
The absorber is built into the webbing core and elongates during arrest, limiting forces without an external pack.
Snag-free profile
No dangling shock pack to hang up on rebar, forms, or scaffold members in congested work.
Locking steel snap hooks
Self-closing, self-locking hooks on both ends resist rollout and connect to dorsal D-rings and compliant anchors.
Durable construction
Polyester and nylon webbing with steel hardware stands up to daily jobsite use.
Restraint capable
May also be used in restraint applications to keep workers from reaching the leading edge.
Two-lanyard pack
Outfits two workers at a lower per-lanyard cost than buying singles.

Account for elongation in your clearance. Maximum free fall is 6 ft, and the internal absorber elongates during arrest per the deceleration chart in the manual. Total fall distance includes lanyard length, elongation, harness stretch, and worker height. The anchorage must withstand 5,000 lbs or maintain a 2:1 safety factor.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.13
Certified energy absorbing lanyard tested to the ANSI standard for lanyards and energy absorbers.
OSHA 1926.502
Meets construction personal fall arrest system requirements, including the 1,800 lbs maximum arresting force limit.
OSHA 1910.140
Meets general industry personal fall protection system requirements.
ISO 17025 lab tested
Tested in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory; the test report is available in the documentation section below.
Typical Applications
Use Overview
Use must follow the Guardian internal shock lanyard instruction manual (85055). The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect first. Check webbing, stitching, the absorber indicator area, and hooks before every use.
- Connect the absorber end. Attach the shock absorbing end to the dorsal D-ring of the full body harness.
- Connect the anchor end. Attach the free end to a compliant anchorage connector rated 5,000 lbs or engineered with a 2:1 safety factor.
- Verify the gates. Confirm both snap hooks are fully closed and locked, with no side loading.
- Check clearance. Verify fall clearance below the work surface including free fall, elongation, and harness stretch.
- Limit free fall. Position the anchor to keep free fall at 6 ft or less and minimize swing fall hazards.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before every use, and have a competent person perform a documented inspection at least every six months under ANSI Z359.2 practice. Remove a lanyard from service for any of the conditions below.
- Webbing: cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, chemical damage, or UV fading.
- Elongation: any sign the internal absorber has begun to deploy or the lanyard has lengthened.
- Stitching: broken, pulled, or abraded threads.
- Hooks: cracks, corrosion, deformation, or gates that do not close and lock automatically.
- Labels: missing or illegible.
Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, any evidence of absorber deployment, or any condition where the inspector cannot positively verify the lanyard is fit for service.
