How The Ridge Pro Works

The operational simplicity of Ridge Pro makes it a preferred choice for professionals. By following a few straightforward steps, users can seamlessly transition from the ladder to the roof, ensuring a safe and efficient ascent. Before proceeding, ensure all safety measures are in place at the job site. Wear a safety harness and lifeline for fall protection. Position the ladder safely, adhering to OSHA standards, and verify the roof pitch using an accurate locator tool. Maintaining 100% tie-off for first man up operations is possible with the Ridge Pro device.

Begin by assembling the Ridge Pro device, aligning it with the roof pitch indicated on the Ridge Pro pitch guide, and securing the pitch with the provided steel pin.

Attach the extension pole securely to the Ridge Pro device, locking it in place with the pin.

Clip your lifeline to the pre-installed shackle on the Ridge Pro.

Hang the Ridge Pro temporarily from the gutter or ladder at roof level.

Ascend the ladder until your belt aligns with the Ridge Pro.

Using the extension pole, roll the Ridge Pro towards the roof peak with the wheels facing the roof.

Once at the peak, flip the Ridge Pro 180 degrees so that it straddles the ridge, and firmly pull on the lifeline to secure it in place.

Safely transition to the roof using a lifeline rope grab.

Secure the Ridge Pro by attaching four 5/16” x 1 ½” lag screws through the pre-drilled holes on the plate. Alternatively, for quick roof inspections with up to 30 degrees of horizontal movement, the Ridge Pro can be used without the lag screws. The Ridge Pro has a weight limit of up to 5,000 pounds when anchored.

The Ridge Pro is professionally tested, easy to assemble, and intuitive to use. Incorporate it into your roof safety protocol to ensure a secure working environment. By following these steps, you can effectively and safely utilize the Ridge Pro device for your roofing projects.
