A6304 4-Way Multi-Directional Anchor Plate
The Malta Dynamics A6304 is a temporary, reusable multi-directional roof anchor that mounts flat to metal decking, plywood sheathing, or a concrete slab. Its four directional connection points let a worker detach and reattach to extend reach without ever being unprotected, and they double as carry handles so the plates nest together for hauling several at once.
The 12 x 12 inch powder-coated A-36 steel plate has a 5,000 lb minimum breaking strength and a 130 to 310 lb worker capacity. One anchor supports a single worker in fall arrest or two workers in fall restraint. It meets OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926 Subpart M, and ANSI A10.32-12, and ships with a Malta Dynamics Declaration of Conformity backed by independent ISO 17025 lab testing.

Who Needs This Product
The A6304 is a fastened anchorage connector - the tie-off point of a personal fall arrest or restraint system for crews on metal decks, wood-framed roofs, or concrete slabs. Each connected worker still needs an ANSI full-body harness and a compatible connecting device (a self-retracting lifeline or a 900 lb maximum-arrest-force energy-absorbing lanyard). One plate serves a single worker in fall arrest or two workers in fall restraint - never both modes at the same time.
Features
Four-way connection
Four directional connection points accept load from any direction, so a worker can detach and reattach to extend reach while staying tied off.
One plate, three substrates
Engineered fastener patterns for ribbed steel decking, plywood sheathing, and concrete slabs - one anchor covers the whole roof.
Arrest or restraint
Rated for one worker in fall arrest or two workers in fall restraint - pick the mode the job calls for.
Carry-and-nest design
The raised connection points double as handles, and the plates nest together so a crew can carry several anchors at once.
Powder-coated A-36 steel
A 1/4-inch A-36 steel plate with a powder-coated finish withstands repeated jobsite reuse.
Independently verified
Backed by a Malta Dynamics Declaration of Conformity with third-party testing performed under ISO 17025 accreditation.

Fasteners and structure carry the load. The A6304 is only as strong as what it is fastened to. Fill the complete fastener pattern for your substrate with corrosion-resistant fasteners; never reuse fasteners; and have a competent person verify that the structure can support a 5,000-lb anchorage load. Never mix arrest and restraint on one plate, and calculate fall clearance before tying off.
Compliance Standards
ANSI A10.32-12
ANSI/ASSP standard for fall protection systems used in construction and demolition operations.
ANSI Z359.18-2017
Anchorage connectors standard: the manufacturer states that the A6304 is designed and tested to this standard.
OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M
Construction fall protection, including anchorage strength requirements under 1926.502(d).
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.66
General industry personal fall arrest anchorage requirements.
Typical Applications
Installation Overview
Install per the Malta Dynamics user instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the plate, connection points, finish, and labels before each use.
- Verify structure. Confirm that the deck, sheathing, or slab can carry a 5,000-lb anchorage load, verified by a competent person.
- Position. Lay the plate flat at the location specified in the manual, with the connection points oriented at 45 degrees to the substrate.
- Fasten. Use the schedule for your substrate - 20 metal screws, 20 wood screws, or 4 concrete anchors - and fill every fastener hole. Use corrosion-resistant fasteners and never reuse them.
- Connect. Clip a 900 lb maximum-arrest-force energy-absorbing lanyard or leading-edge SRL and an ANSI full body harness to a connection point - one worker in arrest or up to two in restraint.
- Verify clearance. Confirm fall clearance below the work surface before work begins.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every six months. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Plate: bending, cracks, elongated fastener holes, or corrosion beyond surface discoloration.
- Connection points: deformation, nicks, burrs, or sharp edges.
- Fasteners: stripped, loose, missing, or corroded - re-fasten per the manual before use.
- Finish: deep gouges exposing bare steel to rust.
- Labels: must remain legible and intact.
Retirement triggers: any fall-arrest event, any plate or connection-point deformation, or any case where fasteners were not fully embedded, or the connection points were not at a 45-degree angle- both signal the anchor was exposed to a fall and must be retired.
