The SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundle gives you everything you need to mount a secure anchor point on a standing seam roof. This assembly includes two SSRA1 Seam Anchors, one SSRA3 Anchor Plate, and a 5,000 lb D-Ring for a strong, OSHA-compliant tie-off system that works on about 95% of standing seam profiles from 12 inches to 24 inches wide.
Use it as a single-worker tie-off for personal fall arrest or as one end anchor for a temporary horizontal lifeline system. When used with a lifeline, two of these assemblies are required—one at each end of the span. This assembly is a flexible option for roofing contractors, maintenance crews, or anyone who needs a safe and non-penetrating way to tie off on standing seam metal.
Key Features of the SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundle
This bundle is compatible with 22- and 24-gauge steel standing seam panels. 24-gauge steel panels will require the use of nylon tip set screws in the SSRA1 anchor. Workers will need two SSRA3 Anchor Plate Bundles for mounting a horizontal lifeline kit. Proper installation requires a micro torque wrench (in/lbs) and a 3/16 inch hex bit socket. Workers are required to wear shock absorbers when using this assembly as a tie-off.

This Panel Compatibility Chart is provided only as a reference for what the SSRA1 will physically mount to. It does not determine the structural integrity of any roof system or seam. It is the Qualified person's responsibility to verify structural suitability in the event of a fall. The SSRA1 fits over 95% of standing seam panels. It is approved only for 22- and 24-gauge steel and is not compatible with aluminum, zinc, copper, or other soft metals. Do not install on curved, tapered, or batten-seam profiles.

Nailstrip-style panels are approximately 50% compatible. Some seams are too wide at the base, which can allow anchor movement during installation. Treat compatibility lists as guidelines, not guarantees.

Perform a test fit with an RCT seam clamp or SSRA1 anchor well before installation to confirm proper engagement with your exact panel profile.
▶ Set-Screw Options
- Cupped-tip: 22-ga steel—torque to 90 in-lbs
- Nylon-tip: 22/24-ga steel—torque to 180–200 in-lbs
▶ Surface Impact
Minor seam dimpling and paint abrasion may occur. Scratches can be touched up with a matching paint pen.
