Who Needs This Product

The Dielectric DE-6001 is a full body harness for utility, line, and electrical trades that need non-conductive hardware near energized work. Complete the system with a compatible connecting device and a rated anchor.

Features

Dielectric hardware

Non-conductive hardware reduces conductive parts near electrical hazards.

Two webbing options

Choose Hi-Viz or premium Ultra-Viz webbing.

Dorsal fall-arrest D-ring

Rear D-ring for personal fall arrest.

Full size range

Small through 2X-Large.

Fall indicators

Visible sign of a fall event during inspection.

ANSI Z359.11

Meets the American National Standard for full body harnesses.

A harness is one part of a personal fall-arrest system. Dielectric hardware reduces conductive parts but does not make the harness a source of electrical protection; follow your electrical safety program. Inspect before each use, use a compatible energy-absorbing lanyard or SRL and a rated anchor, and confirm fall clearance. Run the Fall Protection Calculator below before you tie off.

Compliance Standards

MaintenanceUtility service at height.

How to Use Dielectric Harness

Follow the Super Anchor Safety instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check all webbing, stitching, hardware, and fall indicators before each use.
  2. Don the harness. Step in, pull it up, and connect the chest and leg buckles.
  3. Adjust the fit. Snug all straps so the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades.
  4. Connect. Attach your energy-absorbing lanyard or self-retracting lifeline to the dorsal D-ring.
  5. Verify clearance. Confirm anchorage, connectors, and fall clearance before working at height.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the product from service for any condition below.

  • Webbing: cuts, frays, abrasion, burns, or chemical damage.
  • Stitching: pulled, cut, or broken threads.
  • Hardware: D-rings, buckles, and keepers for distortion, cracks, corrosion, or sharp edges.
  • Fall indicators: any sign of deployment.
  • Labels: illegible or missing markings.

Retire the anchor immediately after any fall-arrest event, or if any inspection point fails.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the DE-6001 dielectric?
It uses non-conductive dielectric hardware to reduce conductive parts near electrical hazards. Pair it only with connectors and equipment that are approved for use together so the complete system performs as designed. Always inspect the product before each use and take it out of service if you notice any damage, deformation, or excessive wear.
What webbing options are there?
Hi-Viz or premium Ultra-Viz. Pair it only with connectors and equipment that are approved for use together so the complete system performs as designed. Keep the manufacturer instructions with the equipment so anyone using it can reference the approved procedures. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application.
What sizes does it come in?
Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, and 2X-Large. See the Technical Specifications on this page for the exact materials, dimensions, and ratings. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application. Always inspect the product before each use and take it out of service if you notice any damage, deformation, or excessive wear.
What D-rings does it have?
A dorsal rear D-ring for fall arrest. Confirm each component in the system is compatible and rated for the intended use before connecting to it. For complete protection, pair it with a compatible full body harness, connector, and shock absorbing lanyard or self retracting lifeline.
Is this electrical protection?
No. Dielectric hardware reduces conductive parts but the harness is not a source of electrical protection; follow your electrical safety program. Make sure the connecting hardware and anchorage suit your application before you attach a lanyard or lifeline. Only trained workers should select, install, and use fall protection equipment for its intended application.
What standard does it meet?
ANSI Z359.11 for full body harnesses. Pair it only with connectors and equipment that are approved for use together so the complete system performs as designed. A qualified person should verify that the installation and the overall system meet the requirements of your specific job site.
Do I need a lanyard with this harness?
Yes. You also need a compatible connecting device and a rated anchor. Confirm each component in the system is compatible and rated for the intended use before connecting to it. For complete protection, pair it with a compatible full body harness, connector, and shock absorbing lanyard or self retracting lifeline.
