FallTech 7530 Trailing Beam Anchor with Dual-Clamp Adjustment
The FallTech 7530 is a reusable trailing beam anchor that clamps to a structural I-beam or H-beam flange to create a rated tie-off point without drilling or welding. As a trailing anchor it slides along the beam with the worker, keeping the connection overhead.
Dual-clamp adjustment tightens the anchor from both sides for a centered, secure grip. It fits flanges from 3.5 in to 14 in wide and up to 1-1/4 in thick, with an aluminum crossbar, steel jaws, and a swiveling steel D-ring. Certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 as a Type A anchorage rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
Who Needs This Product
This product is a beam anchor, the anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Steel erectors, bridge crews, and maintenance workers clamp it to an I-beam flange to create a rated overhead tie-off point, then connect an SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard. As a trailing anchor it slides along the beam with the worker. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device to complete the system.

Install tight to the flange and check the jaw gap. Both jaws must be fully over the flange with the D-ring centered. The gap between the beam flange and the jaw must not exceed 11/16 in; if it does, tighten the anchor further. Typical Applications
How to Install the 7530
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the body, jaws, threads, and D-ring for damage or corrosion before each use.
- Position. Place the anchor over the beam flange in an approved orientation.
- Clamp. Adjust until the anchor is tight to the flange and the connector is centered.
- Verify the gap. Confirm the flange-to-jaw gap is within the manual limit; tighten further if needed.
- Connect and check clearance. Attach your SRL or lanyard, then confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Crossbar, jaws, or clamp body: cracks, bending, deformation, or corrosion.
- Threads and adjustment: damaged threads or an adjustment that will not hold.
- D-ring or connector: deformation, sharp edges, corrosion, or a swivel that binds.
- Markings: illegible or missing labels.
Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
