FallTech Arc Flash Cinch-Loop Choker Anchor with Kevlar Web
The FallTech Arc Flash Choker Sling Anchor is built with arc-rated Kevlar webbing for work near electrical and arc-flash hazards. The cinch loop chokes onto a beam, column, or structure, and the Kevlar web stands up to heat and arc exposure far better than standard polyester.
It is rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) and certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017. Choose from lengths of 3', 4', 6' to fit the member.

Who Needs This Product
This product is an arc-rated web choker sling anchor, the anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system for electrical and arc-flash environments. Electrical and utility crews cinch it onto a rated structure with the choke-on loop, then connect an SRL or lanyard. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device to complete the system.
Features
Arc-rated Kevlar web
Kevlar webbing resists heat and arc-flash exposure far better than polyester.
Choke-on cinch loop
Passes through itself and tightens to lock onto the structure.
For electrical work
Built for anchoring near electrical and arc-flash hazards.
Several lengths
Available from 3 ft to 6 ft to fit the member.
Reusable and portable
No tools needed; stows easily in a gear bag.
ANSI Z359.18-2017
Certified anchorage rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
Arc-rated web is not fireproof, and it can still be cut. Follow your arc-flash and electrical safety program, confirm the structure is rated for at least 5,000 lb, avoid sharp or abrasive edges, and use edge protection where needed. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.18-2017
American National Standard for anchorage connectors. 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502
Federal construction fall protection anchorage requirements.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910
General industry personal fall protection requirements.
5,000 lb rated
Minimum breaking strength of 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
Typical Applications
How to Install
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the webbing, stitching, and hardware for damage before each use.
- Choose a rated anchor point. Confirm the structure supports at least 5,000 lb and is free of sharp or abrasive edges.
- Wrap the structure. Pass the anchor around the beam, column, or member in the approved configuration.
- Connect. Attach your SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard to the anchor connection point.
- Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Webbing: cuts, frays, pulls, burns, chemical damage, or heavy abrasion.
- Stitching: broken, cut, or worn stitches at the loops and D-ring.
- Hardware (D-ring or thimble): deformation, sharp edges, cracks, or corrosion.
- Labels: illegible or missing markings.
Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
