FallTech D-Ring Anchor with Steel Installation Plate
The FallTech D-Ring Anchor with Installation Plate mounts a forged D-ring on a steel plate that fastens to structural steel, giving a low-profile permanent or semi-permanent tie-off point. Choose the plate that matches your installation: plated bolt-on, stainless bolt-on, or unplated weld-on.
It is certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017, rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN), for one worker up to 310 lb (ANSI) or 425 lb (OSHA).

Who Needs This Product
This product is a plate-style D-ring anchor, the anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Steel and structural crews fasten it to a structural member to create a durable tie-off point, then connect an SRL or lanyard. Pick the plate type for your install. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device.
Features
Choose your plate
Plated bolt-on, stainless bolt-on, or unplated weld-on to match the install.
Forged D-ring
Strong, durable connection point for an SRL or lanyard.
Low-profile mount
The plate sits flat against the steel for a compact anchor.
Stainless option
Stainless plate resists corrosion in harsh or wet environments.
Weld-on option
Unplated plate for a permanent welded installation.
ANSI Z359.18-2017
Certified anchorage rated for 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
Install to sound structural steel per the manual. Bolt-on plates require the specified fasteners and torque; weld-on plates require a qualified weld. Confirm the steel is rated to support the anchor, and confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.18-2017
American National Standard for anchorage connectors. Rated 5,000 lb (22.2 kN).
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502
Federal construction fall protection anchorage requirements.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910
General industry personal fall protection requirements.
Rated 5,000 lb (22.2 kN)

Typical Applications
How to Install
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the anchor body, connection point, and hardware for damage before each use.
- Prepare the structure. Confirm the mounting surface is sound and rated to support the anchor per the manual.
- Install and secure. Mount the anchor as specified and set all fasteners to the required torque.
- Connect. Attach your SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard to the connection point.
- Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Anchor body and welds: cracks, bending, deformation, or corrosion.
- D-ring or connection point: deformation, sharp edges, cracks, or corrosion.
- Fasteners and hardware: damaged threads, loose or missing fasteners.
- Labels: illegible or missing markings.
Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
