How to Choose the Size

Match the bag to the gear it will carry, based on FallTech's published sizing.

  1. 11 in (5005P). A single-leg lanyard and a mating buckle harness, such as the 7007 or 7015.
  2. 16 in (5006MP). Double-leg lanyards and tongue buckle harnesses, such as the 7016.
  3. 18 in (5007LP). All non-belted harnesses, lanyards, and personal SRLs.
  4. When in doubt, size up. A roomier bag is easier to pack and closes fully around bulky energy absorber packs.
  5. Add one per worker. Bags keep inspection sets matched; avoid pooling multiple workers’ gear in one bag.

Inspection and Retirement

Check the bag over when you inspect the gear inside it.

  • Seams and stitching: intact with no blowouts.
  • Closure: hook and loop mates cleanly, or the zipper runs full length.
  • Handles and strap: attachment points secure.
  • Interior: dry, clean, and free of chemicals or sharp debris.

Which size do I need for a harness and single-leg lanyard?
The 11 in 5005P is sized by FallTech for exactly that set: a single-leg lanyard and a mating buckle harness. If the harness has tongue buckles or the lanyard is a double-leg, step up to the 16 in 5006MP.
Will a personal SRL fit?
Use the 18 in 5007LP. FallTech sizes it for all non-belted harnesses, lanyards, and personal SRLs, and the 10 in x 9 in body handles the housing of a personal SRL with room for the harness.
What is the difference between the closures?
The 11 in bag uses a hook and loop flap with a single carry handle. The 16 in and 18 in bags use a full center zipper with paired handles, and both include a shoulder strap.

Does the bag protect webbing from UV?
