Protect the Device That Does the Rescue
A retrieval SRL-R or personnel winch is the most mechanically sensitive equipment in a confined space kit. A fitted storage bag keeps grit out of the brake and retrieval mechanism and keeps the lifeline from chafing against loose tools in transit.
This is the same factory bag FallTech includes with its B-series tripod kits and RB-series davit systems, offered separately for crews that already own their devices.

Typical Applications
How to Use
No tools or training are required. The overview below covers basic use.
- Retract the lifeline. Let the SRL-R fully retract or wind the winch line evenly onto the drum.
- Bag the device. Open the full-length zipper, set the device in with its bracket, and zip it closed.
- Store it dry. Store the bag out of direct sun and standing water, ready for the next entry.
Inspection and Retirement
Check the bag when you inspect the device it protects.
- Shell: tears, abrasion, and UV fading.
- Zipper: full travel without separation.
- Handles: stitching intact at all anchor points.
- Interior: dry, free of grit and chemical residue.
Replace the bag when tears or failed stitching let debris reach the device. A damaged bag does not affect the device rating but stops doing its job.
