FallTech Rebar Positioning Assembly, Chain, Non-Swivel
Built with heavy-duty 9/32" Grade 80 welded-link chain. Features standard steel rebar hook for vertical rebar connection.
Includes steel clevis snap hooks for hip D-ring attachment. Rebar hook features transverse load rated gate.

Who Needs This Product
Rodbusters and tower hands work with both hands because a positioning assembly carries their weight against the structure. Rebar positioning chains and webs connect hip D-ring to hip D-ring around the bar, with swivel hooks that follow body movement. Positioning is always used with a separate fall arrest system.

Complies
Complies with ANSI Z359.3-2017.
Positioning is not fall arrest. OSHA limits positioning systems to 2 ft of free fall and requires an independent fall arrest system. Run your SRL or Y-leg lanyard above the positioning assembly at all times.

ANSI Z359.3-2017

Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Connect hip to hip. The assembly runs from one hip D-ring, around the structure, to the other hip D-ring.
- Set the length. Choose the connection point or adjuster setting that holds you at working distance.
- Lean and work. The assembly carries your weight; both hands stay on the work.
- Keep arrest separate. Positioning is not fall arrest. A separate SRL or lanyard protects against a fall.
- Inspect the swivels. Hooks must rotate freely and gate-lock positively.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent person inspection at least annually.
- Chain or web: deformed links, cuts, jacket damage.
- Swivel hooks: rotation smooth, gates lock, no cracks.
- Connectors: no corrosion or wear grooves.
Retirement triggers: any fall loading, deformed links, hook damage, or a failed inspection.
