Frontline ToolGrip Tool Tethering

BP10L ToolGrip 10 lbs Tool Pouch, Large, 3-Pack

The Frontline BP10L is the large workhorse of the ToolGrip pouch line: high-quality polyester with webbing loops and metal snaps that attach to a working belt in seconds, holding tools securely while keeping them accessible at all times.

A durable rope reinforcement around the top edge maintains the pouch's shape for one-handed tool returns, the ventilated design reduces moisture to keep tools in top condition, and the 10 lb safe storage capacity fills 8.75 in x 3.75 in x 7.5 in of organized space - protecting workers below from falling tools and objects.

How to Set Up the BP10L

Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check fabric, stitching, snaps, and the rope edge before each use.
  2. Mount. Snap the webbing loops over the work belt where you want the pouch to ride.
  3. Load. Stow tools within the 10 lb safe storage capacity.
  4. Tether what matters. Pair pouch storage with ToolGrip tethers for tools in active use.
  5. Check the snaps. Confirm both snaps are seated before working at height.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Webbing and elastic: cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, or loss of elasticity.
  • Stitching: broken, pulled, or abraded threads.
  • Hardware: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or gates and locks that fail to close.
  • Attachment points: loose tape bonds, worn loops, or damaged D-rings.
  • Markings: labels must be present and legible.

Remove from service immediately if any inspection point fails or after the tether arrests a dropped tool with visible damage. ToolGrip products are tool tethering equipment - never use them for personal fall protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it attach?
Webbing loops with metal snaps wrap the belt - no unthreading, on and off in seconds.
What fits inside?
Up to 10 lbs of hand tools in an 8.75 x 3.75 x 7.5 in envelope.
Why the rope edge?
It keeps the mouth open and the pouch shaped, so tools go back in one-handed.
Does a pouch replace tethering?
They work together: the pouch contains stowed tools, tethers secure the ones in your hand.
Is tool tethering required by OSHA?
OSHA 1926.759 requires protection from falling objects in steel erection, and General Duty Clause citations for dropped tools are common. ANSI/ISEA 121-2018 is the voluntary consensus standard for dropped object prevention - tethering tools at height is rapidly becoming a site requirement on major projects.
BP10L or TP10?
The BP10L is the larger open pouch; the TP10 adds tool D-rings, slots, and a double-zipper closure for full containment.
