Who Needs This Product
This product is a davit base module - the mounting foundation that receives the DAC confined space davit arm and positions the boom over an opening. Confined space teams choose the base type to match the structure they are anchoring to. It is the base only; the davit arm, retrieval system, harness, and rescue plan complete the system.

The base is one part of the system. A davit base alone does nothing - it receives the DAC davit arm, which carries the retrieval system. Verify the base anchorage to the structure per the Frontline manual, and never enter a confined space without the full davit, retrieval device, harness, and a written, practiced rescue plan per OSHA 1910.146.

Typical Applications
How to Use the DAC-FLRMT
Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Verify the structure. Confirm the mounting location can support davit loads per the manual.
- Inspect. Check the base, welds, and receiver before each use.
- Install the base. Anchor the base to the structure exactly as the Frontline manual specifies.
- Insert the davit arm. Seat the DAC davit arm in the base and confirm it locks.
- Rig the retrieval system. Mount the winch or 3-way SRL per the rescue plan.
- Function-test before entry. Confirm retrieval and the rescue plan with the attendant.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.
- Visual: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or damaged welds on load-bearing parts.
- Moving/locking parts: gates, jaws, pins, and locks operate and lock positively.
- Connection points: D-rings, eyes, and hooks free of wear, elongation, or sharp edges.
- Fasteners: present, correct, and fully engaged per the manual.
- Markings: labels must be present and legible.
Retire the equipment immediately after any fall arrest event or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
