TAN07RURP MEGApod Confined Space 7 ft Aluminum Tripod with 60 ft Winch and 3-Way SRL
The Frontline TAN07RURP is a complete MEGApod confined space package: a 7 ft aluminum tripod with an aluminum cast head and telescopic legs, paired with a 60 ft winch and a 3-way retrieval SRL on a universal bracket - everything an entry team needs to lower, work, and rescue over a round opening.
The tripod's height adjusts via telescopic legs that slide (49.21 in to 88.18 in on the 7 ft head), with locking pins and non-slip shoes for a stable stance over the hole. The 60 ft winch handles material and personnel lifting while the 3-way SRL provides fall arrest and non-entry retrieval. Built to OSHA 1910.146 and ANSI Z359.

Who Needs the TAN07RURP MEGApod System
Confined-space entry crews who need a single portable package that handles both entry and rescue. The MEGApod pairs a 7 ft aluminum tripod with a 60 ft personnel/material winch and a 60 ft 3-way retrieval SRL, so the same setup lowers and raises a worker, moves tools and equipment, and provides non-entry rescue retrieval over tanks, manholes, sewers, storm vaults, lift stations, and storage-tank manways. The tripod breaks down and the legs telescope, so the kit travels from opening to opening without a dedicated rig.
7 ft Aluminum MEGApod Tripod
Lightweight cast-aluminum head with telescopic legs, locking pins, and non-slip feet. Sets up in seconds with no tools and breaks down flat for transport between entries.
60 ft Personnel & Material Winch
Galvanized-steel-cable winch rated for both material handling and personnel hoisting, mounted to the tripod leg for controlled entry and retrieval.
60 ft 3-Way Retrieval SRL
Self-retracting lifeline with integrated retrieval winch for fall arrest plus non-entry rescue raise/lower, mounted on the universal head bracket.
Universal Mounting Bracket
The tripod head accepts the winch and the 3-way SRL together so the full entry-and-rescue package runs off one anchorage.
Adjustable Height & Leg Spread
Head height adjusts from 49.21 in (1.25 m) to 88.18 in (2.24 m); leg spread opens from 47.63 in (1.21 m) to 78.74 in (2 m) to straddle a range of openings.
Safety Leg Chains & Locking Pins
Leg chains hold the spread under load and spring-locking pins set each leg height, keeping the geometry fixed during entry and retrieval.

RATED ANCHORAGE — INSPECT BEFORE EVERY USE. Set the tripod on stable, level ground with leg chains and locking pins fully engaged before connecting any worker. Inspect the tripod, winch, cable, and 3-way SRL per the Frontline user manual before each entry, and remove from service if any component shows damage, deformation, or cable damage.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146
Built for permit-required confined space entry and non-entry rescue, supporting the retrieval-system requirements of OSHA 1910.146 for vertical entries.
ANSI Z359
Designed to the ANSI Z359 fall protection family for anchorage, retrieval, and self-retracting devices used in confined-space work.
Aluminum & Galvanized Steel
Cast-aluminum tripod head and legs with galvanized-steel winch cable for strength with a portable, corrosion-resistant build.
Third-Party Tested
The MEGApod tripod family is supported by independent test reporting; see the Submittals section for the spec sheet, user manual, and test report.
Typical Applications
How to Use the TAN07RURP
Follow the manufacturer's manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check all load-bearing parts, moving parts, and the line before each use.
- Set up per the manual. Install and rig exactly as the Frontline manual specifies.
- Rig the system. Run the retrieval and/or fall arrest lines through the correct points.
- Connect the worker. Attach the harness per the rescue plan.
- Function-test. Test retrieval and confirm the plan with the attendant before entry.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least every 6 months. Pull the equipment from service for any of the conditions below.
- Visual: deformation, cracks, corrosion, or damaged welds on load-bearing parts.
- Moving parts: pulleys, swivels, winch drum, and locks operate freely and lock positively.
- Line/cable: no broken wires, kinks, fraying, or corrosion; spools cleanly.
- Connectors and fasteners: present, correct, and fully engaged per the manual.
- Labels and markings: present and legible.
Retire the equipment immediately after any fall arrest event or if any inspection point fails. Destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
