1032-PG CRA-PT 12 Inch HLL Pass-Thru Anchor
The Super Anchor 1032-PG is a 12 inch CRA-PT pass-thru anchor post that carries a horizontal lifeline cable through its No. 1091 top as an intermediate anchor. The foam filled, hot dip galvanized 3.0 inch Schedule 40 riser stands on a 16x16x3/8 inch 52-hole base plate, and the anchor is third-party certified with a 5,000 lb ultimate strength.
What is included: the pass-thru anchor post with 4 No. 5010-SM O-rings; HLL cable and rigging hardware are sold separately. Pass-thru tops are HLL intermediate anchors only, never a personal tie-off point. The lifeline cable rides through the top on 4 No. 5010-SM O-rings, so a single run stays continuous between loop top end anchors spaced 20 to 30 ft on center. Because pass-thru anchors serve horizontal lifelines, they must be bolted, field welded, or concrete embedded, never screw attached. Compliant with ANSI Z359.18-17 and OSHA 1926.502, with CSA Z259.15:22 conformity per the 01-2023 manual.

Who Needs This Product
The 1032-PG is for contractors and building owners running CRA horizontal lifelines across commercial roofs. Intermediate pass-thru anchors carry the cable between loop top end anchors so workers travel the full run without disconnecting at each post. Each HLL run supports 2 workers in fall arrest or 4 workers in fall restraint at 310 lb per user including tools, with a spring energy absorber limiting average peak force to 1,200 lb in a 6 ft free fall. Runs are typically 120 ft, with runs up to 130 ft available through third party engineering when pass-thru spacing stays within 30 ft. Every worker on the line wears a full body harness with components meeting current OSHA, ANSI, or CSA standards.
Features
No. 1091 pass-thru top
No. 1091 pass-thru top for 3/8 inch HLL cable with 4 No. 5010-SM O-rings. The cable passes through the top so the run stays continuous across the roof.
4 O-rings included
Each pass-thru top uses 4 No. 5010-SM O-rings, installed on the cable before the clamps during rigging, so the line rides smoothly through the fixture.
Hot dip galvanized steel
ASTM 123 hot dip galvanizing inside and out plus polyurethane foam filling protect the riser, rated for -30 to +130 degrees F.
12 inch standoff
The 12 inch riser lifts the lifeline above gravel, ballast, insulation, and standing water on commercial roofs.
52-hole base plate
The 16x16x3/8 inch plate carries 9/16 inch holes for a minimum of 4 certified 1/2 inch bolts; pass-thru anchors are never screw attached.
Cable clamp slack removal
During rigging, slack is removed by clamping the cable at the pass-thru tops, then released after the turnbuckle is tensioned per the 02-2021 rigging manual.

Not a tie-off point. The pass-thru top is an HLL intermediate anchor only. Never connect a lanyard, SRL, or lifeline directly to a pass-thru top; personal connections belong on the HLL cable or on loop top anchors. Pass-thru anchors must be bolted, field welded, or concrete embedded because cable vibration and line tension work screws loose, and the supporting structure must hold 5,000 lb or 2 times the intended load per OSHA 1910.140.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.18-17 Type A/T
Anchorage connector compliance verified by Intertek lab reports per the 01-2023 CRA manual.
OSHA 1926.502 / 1910.140
Meets construction anchorage criteria with 5,000 lb structural support requirements.
CSA Z259.15:22 Type A/T
Canadian anchorage connector conformity for cross-border crews.
Factory Engineered HLL Systems
SAS engineered horizontal lifeline runs to 120 ft, with runs up to 130 ft available through third party structural engineering.
Typical Applications
Installation Overview
Full rigging procedures, clamp torque, and tensioning figures are in the CRA HLL Rigging Manual linked below. The essentials:
- Confirm each attachment point supports 5,000 lb or 2 times the intended load, with anchor locations specified by the project architect, engineer, or safety consultant.
- Bolt the base plate with a minimum of 4 certified 1/2 inch grade 8, grade 5, or 18-8 stainless bolts with matching lock nuts, field weld with an E70XX certified welder, or concrete embed in 2,500 PSI minimum concrete.
- Space intermediate pass-thru anchors 20 to 30 ft on center along the run.
- Install 4 No. 5010-SM O-rings on the cable before the cable clamps, then feed the cable through each pass-thru top.
- Remove slack by clamping the cable at the pass-thru tops, rig the B end first, then tension the turnbuckle until the energy absorber gauge closes per the rigging manual.
- Release the pass-thru clamps after tensioning, open the turnbuckle fully before final adjustment, and inspect the completed system before use.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before installation and each use, with documented annual inspections. Remove the anchor from service when any of the following apply:
- The riser is bent or deformed.
- Weld cracks are present.
- Rust that does not clean up with cold zinc coating.
- Fasteners are missing; do not use until the installation is corrected.
- The PID label or vent hole plug is missing and cannot be replaced.
- The anchor was subjected to a free fall or the supporting structure is damaged.
Tag anchors removed from service to prevent further use until inspected by a qualified or competent person.
