4015-M Mechanical Rope Grab, 3-Pack
The Super Anchor 4015-M Integral Adjuster is a dual cam mechanical rope grab in zinc plated steel for SAS 5/8 inch synthetic lifelines. Squeeze the cam lock lever to slide the grab along the rope; release it and the grab holds position, then locks onto the lifeline in a single direction when subjected to the tension of a sudden force or free fall.
What is included: 3 Integral Adjuster 4015-M rope grabs. Each grab is a captive device with a 3,600 lb breaking strength and a maximum deceleration of 24 inches, connecting to the harness through a personal energy absorber or web lanyard with a class 1 connector. Compliant with OSHA 1926.502 and ANSI Z359.1-07.

Who Needs This Product
Crews that prefer an industry standard mechanical grab at a value price. The 4015-M is the workhorse grab supplied in SAS MAX bucket kits and factory attached lifeline assemblies: one hand squeezes the cam lever to reposition, and the dual cams do the holding, with no wraps to count. It is a captive grab, fed onto the lifeline at rigging time and not removed in the field, installed with the indicator arrow pointing to the lifeline anchor point. Connect it through an energy absorber or web lanyard to a full body harness as part of a complete personal fall arrest system. Not rated for reverse rigging or for X-Line 12-strand lifelines.
Features
Dual cam lock
Two cams drive onto the rope under load, locking the grab to the lifeline during a sudden force or free fall.
One-hand adjustment
Hold the cam lock lever down and slide the grab up or down the lifeline, then release to hold position.
Captive on the lifeline
The grab stays on the rope from rigging to takedown, so it cannot be dropped from the roof or left behind.
Factory attachment option
Supplied factory attached to SAS web lanyards and energy absorbers, or field connected with a class 1 connector.
Zinc plated steel
Plated body and cams resist corrosion; minor surface corrosion cleans up, deep pitting retires the grab.
Four-rivet body
Body rivets are inspection points; all four must be intact for the grab to stay in service.

ANSI Z359.1-07
Integral adjuster rope grab complies with the ANSI fall protection code per the SAS rope grab manual.
CSA Z259.11-05

Typical Applications
Installation Overview
Full figures and function tests are in the Rope Grabs manual and SAS Lifeline Manual 05-2024 linked below. The basics:
- Feed the lifeline through the grab at rigging time with the indicator arrow pointing to the lifeline anchor point.
- Attach the lifeline A-end to an OSHA or ANSI compliant anchorage device with a class 1 connector.
- Connect the grab connector ring to a personal energy absorber or SAS web lanyard, then to the harness dorsal D-ring.
- Tie a limiter knot below the working position on the lifeline to gauge free fall length and protect the rope end.
- Hold the cam lock lever down to slide the grab to the working position, then release the lever.
- Perform the cam lock test and the spring and mobility tests before each use; any failure removes the grab from service.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before installation and each use, with documented annual inspections. Remove the equipment from service when any of the following apply:
- Any of the 4 body rivets are missing or loose.
- The cam lock lever does not spring back quickly when released.
- The grab moves on the lifeline during the cam lock test, or will not move easily during the mobility test.
- The connector ring is bent or deformed.
- Deep pitting or extreme rust is present on the zinc plating.
- The grab was subjected to a free fall.
Tag equipment removed from service to prevent further use until inspected by a qualified or competent person.
