Who Needs This Product

The 6101 Deluxe is for roofers, framers, solar installers, and trades who wear a harness all day and want padding that holds up: the Tri-Lam3 frame spreads load across the shoulders and waist instead of digging in. The dorsal D-ring serves fall arrest and restraint, and the side D-rings handle work positioning. Crews pick webbing colors to separate teams or boost visibility, and the LL long-large cut fits taller workers without going up a full size.

Fit and fall clearance are life critical. Adjust the harness snug with the chest strap 8 to 12 inches below the shoulders and loose webbing stored in the keepers; a badly adjusted harness can allow the user to fall out during a free fall. Maximum harness stretch of 14 inches must be included in every length of fall calculation, and users connect only to rated D-rings with ANSI or CSA certified connectors.

Compliance Standards

ANSI Z359.11-21

Installation Overview

Fit procedure per the 2025 manual:

  1. Don the harness and connect the quick connect chest and leg buckles.
  2. Set the chest strap 8 to 12 inches below the shoulders with the straps aligned vertically.
  3. Adjust chest, leg, and waist belt snug with extra webbing stored in the elastic keepers.
  4. Connect fall protection to the dorsal D-ring with ANSI or CSA certified connectors; side D-rings serve work positioning only.
  5. Include 14 inches of maximum harness stretch in the length of fall calculation.
  6. Inspect webbing, stitching, hardware, and labels before each use.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before installation and each use, with documented annual inspections. Remove the anchor from service when any of the following apply:

  • Webbing shows cuts, burns, abrasion, or chemical damage.
  • Stitching is broken or pulled at any load-bearing seam.
  • D-rings, buckles, or adjusters are cracked, bent, or corroded.
  • The harness arrested a fall; remove it from service immediately.
  • PID labels inside the shoulder strap are missing or illegible.

Tag anchors removed from service to prevent further use until inspected by a qualified or competent person.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes and colors can I order?

What is the LL size?
Long-large: the length of an XL torso with the girth of a large, cut for taller lean workers who fall between standard sizes. Check the size chart PDF below.
Is this harness rated for work positioning?
Yes, Type A/P covers fall arrest, fall restraint, and work positioning: arrest and restraint connect to the dorsal D-ring, and positioning uses the side D-rings with a positioning lanyard.
What tool bags fit it?
All-Pakka tool bags, hammer holders, and the grommet utility belt attach to the Deluxe frame, or the 6151 version ships with the gray All-Pakka combo already mounted.
How much can the harness stretch in a fall?
Maximum harness stretch is 14 inches, and the manual requires including it in the length of fall calculation along with lanyard extension and D-ring height.
What standards does it meet?
ANSI Z359.11-21 verified by Intertek lab report 11-2024, OSHA 1926.502, and CSA Z259.10-18 with the compliance report available on request.
How do I fit it correctly?
Chest strap 8 to 12 inches below the shoulders with straps vertical, chest, legs, and waist snug, and loose webbing in the elastic keepers. An improperly adjusted harness can allow the user to fall out during a free fall.
