FallTech 6160512W 12 in Weld-On Ladder Anchor Bracket
Fully galvanized structural steel anchor bracket that welds onto steel structures above fixed ladders, providing a permanent overhead tie-off point for personal fall arrest systems.
The 12 in overhead offset positions the anchor eye out over the climbing path, optimal for harness dorsal D-ring attachment with an SRL, and the bracket plate can be modified to attach to various structure shapes.

A Permanent Anchor Where the Ladder Meets the Roof
The most dangerous moves on a fixed ladder are the first and last ones, where the climber transitions on and off the structure. A welded anchor bracket above the ladder gives the climber a compliant overhead tie-off point for an SRL before the transition starts.
Per the FallTech documentation, the anchor provides 3,600 lb minimum static strength, supports one user up to 310 lb under ANSI and up to 425 lb allowable under OSHA, and meets OSHA 1926.502 and 1910.140 regulations, documented in Declaration of Conformity S0220035.
Key Features
Weld-On Installation
Quickly and easily welds onto steel structure for permanent installation by a qualified welder.
12 in Overhead Offset
Positions the anchor eye over the climb path, optimal for dorsal D-ring attachment with an SRL.
Galvanized Steel
Fully galvanized and powder-coated structural steel for durable outdoor performance.
Modifiable Plate
The bracket plate can be modified to attach to various structure shapes per the manual.
Personal Fall Arrest Rated
For use in personal fall arrest applications with 3,600 lb minimum static strength.
Documented Conformity
Covered by FallTech Declaration of Conformity S0220035 and the ladder stanchion anchor manual.
Welded anchors are only as good as the weld and the structure. Installation must be performed by a qualified welder on structure verified by a qualified person, following the FallTech manual. Inspect the weld and galvanizing before each use.
Compliance Standards
OSHA 1926.502
Meets construction fall protection anchorage requirements per the FallTech DoC S0220035.
OSHA 1910.140
Meets general industry personal fall protection requirements for fixed ladder tie-off.
ANSI Capacity
One user up to 310 lb combined weight under ANSI; up to 425 lb allowable under OSHA.
Not CSA Listed
FallTech does not list CSA certification for this anchor; specify a CSA-certified anchor for Canadian jurisdictions.
Typical Applications
How to Use
Follow the FallTech MANC29 instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Verify the structure. A qualified person confirms the steel can support the anchorage loads at the installation point.
- Weld the bracket. A qualified welder installs the bracket per the manual, then the weld is inspected and the coating repaired.
- Connect and climb. Attach an SRL or other connecting device to the anchor eye and connect to the dorsal D-ring before the transition.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use following the MANC29 manual. A competent person must inspect the anchor at least annually.
- Weld: cracking, undercut, or corrosion at the joint.
- Bracket: bends, cracks, and elongation of the anchor eye.
- Coating: galvanizing intact; treat any rust immediately.
- Marking: anchor identification legible.
Retirement triggers: any arrested fall, weld defects, deformation, or section loss from corrosion. Remove the anchor from service and replace it before further climbs.
