FallTech 7535 Stationary Vertical Beam Anchor for Fixed Locations

The FallTech 7535 is a stationary beam anchor for fixed-location tie-off. It clamps to a structural flange to create a rated anchor point without drilling or welding, and unlike a trailing anchor it stays put where you install it.

Rated for thick flanges up to 2 in and widths from 4.5 in to 12 in, it can be mounted on horizontal or vertical beams. Certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 and ANSI Z359.7 with 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) strength, it can also serve as an anchorage for horizontal lifeline systems supporting more than one user when used with a compatible FallTech HLL.

Who Needs This Product

This product is a stationary beam anchor, the anchorage component of a personal fall arrest or horizontal lifeline system. Crews clamp it to a structural flange at a fixed work location, then connect an SRL or lanyard, or use it as an end anchor for a compatible horizontal lifeline. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device to complete the system.

Features

Stationary tie-off

Stays fixed where installed for a stable anchor point at one location.

Horizontal or vertical beams

Rated to mount on vertical beams as well as overhead horizontal flanges.

Thick-flange capacity

Fits heavy structural flanges up to 2 in thick.

HLL end anchor

May anchor a compatible FallTech horizontal lifeline for more than one user.

No drilling or welding

Clamps to the flange for a reusable, damage-free anchor point.

ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7

Certified 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) anchorage strength.

Install tight to the flange and check the jaw gap. The anchor must be clamped firmly with the connector centered and the flange-to-jaw gap no more than 1/2 in. For horizontal lifeline or multi-user use, follow the specific FallTech HLL instructions. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.

Compliance Standards

ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7

Anchorage connector and qualification standards. 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) strength.

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502

Federal construction fall protection anchorage requirements.

OSHA 29 CFR 1910

General industry personal fall protection requirements.

5,000 lb rated

Anchorage strength of 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) per attached worker.

Typical Applications

How to Install the 7535

Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check the body, jaws, threads, and D-ring for damage or corrosion before each use.
  2. Position. Place the anchor over the beam flange in an approved orientation.
  3. Clamp. Adjust until the anchor is tight to the flange and the connector is centered.
  4. Verify the gap. Confirm the flange-to-jaw gap is within the manual limit; tighten further if needed.
  5. Connect and check clearance. Attach your SRL or lanyard, then confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Crossbar, jaws, or clamp body: cracks, bending, deformation, or corrosion.
  • Threads and adjustment: damaged threads or an adjustment that will not hold.
  • D-ring or connector: deformation, sharp edges, corrosion, or a swivel that binds.
  • Markings: illegible or missing labels.

Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does stationary mean on this anchor?
Unlike a trailing anchor, the 7535 stays fixed where you install it. It provides a stable tie-off point at one location rather than sliding along the beam.
Can it mount on a vertical beam?
Yes. The 7535 is rated to mount on vertical beams as well as overhead horizontal flanges, per the instruction manual.
Can more than one worker use it?
As a single-user personal fall arrest anchor it is rated for one worker. It may also serve as an end anchor for a compatible FallTech horizontal lifeline supporting more than one user.
What beams does it fit?
It fits flanges from 4.5 in to 12 in wide and up to 2 in thick, so it handles heavy structural members.
What is the rated strength and capacity?
Certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7 with 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) strength; single-user capacity is 130 to 310 lb for ANSI and up to 425 lb for OSHA.
What do I connect to it?
Connect a compatible SRL or energy-absorbing lanyard to the D-ring, used with a certified full-body harness.
Can it be reused after a fall?
No. Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event and destroy it so it cannot be reused.
