The FallTech 7711 is an all-steel beam trolley anchor that rolls along a horizontal beam so your tie-off point tracks with you as you work. It mounts to the beam without drilling or welding and provides a continuous overhead anchor.

Built with steel wheeled side plates and a steel D-ring assembly, it fits 3 in to 8 in beams with a maximum flange thickness of 2-1/4 in. Certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 and ANSI Z359.7 with 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) anchorage strength, and it can also serve as an anchor for rescue operations.

Who Needs This Product

This product is a beam trolley anchor, the moving anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Workers on overhead I-beams mount it to the flange so the anchor rolls with them, then connect an SRL or lanyard. It is also rated for rescue operations. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device to complete the system.

Features

Rolls with the worker

Steel wheels let the trolley track your movement along the beam.

All-steel build

Steel wheeled side plates and a steel D-ring assembly for durability.

No drilling or welding

Mounts to the beam flange for a reusable, damage-free anchor.

Rescue rated

May be used as an anchor in rescue operations per the manual.

Adjustable fit

Fits 3 in to 8 in beams with a flange thickness up to 2-1/4 in.

ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7

Certified 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) anchorage strength.

Install on a rated beam and confirm the trolley is captured. The trolley must be correctly adjusted to the beam width, fully seated on the flange, and secured so it cannot roll off the beam end. Use only self-locking snap hooks or carabiners, and confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.

Compliance Standards

ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7

Anchorage connector and qualification standards. 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) strength.

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502

Federal construction fall protection anchorage requirements.

OSHA 29 CFR 1910

General industry personal fall protection requirements.

5,000 lb rated

Anchorage strength of 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) per attached worker.

How to Install the 7711

Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect. Check the wheels, side plates, adjustment, and D-ring for damage or corrosion before each use.
  2. Adjust to the beam. Set the trolley to the beam width so the wheels ride correctly on the flange.
  3. Mount and capture. Seat the trolley on the flange and confirm it cannot roll off the beam end (use end stops).
  4. Connect. Use only a self-locking snap hook or carabiner to attach your SRL or lanyard to the D-ring.
  5. Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Wheels and side plates: cracks, bending, flat spots, or seized wheels.
  • Adjustment hardware: damaged threads or an adjustment that will not hold.
  • D-ring assembly: deformation, sharp edges, corrosion, or a swivel that binds.
  • Markings: illegible or missing labels.

Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
