FallTech 7712 Aluminum Beam Trolley Anchor
The FallTech 7712 is a lightweight aluminum beam trolley anchor that rolls along a horizontal beam so your tie-off point tracks with you. It mounts without drilling or welding and handles wide structural flanges.
It uses plastic wheels and a forged aluminum swivel-eye connector secured by a detent pin, fitting beams up to 18 in wide with a flange thickness up to 2-1/4 in. Certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017 and ANSI Z359.7 with 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) anchorage strength.

Who Needs This Product
This product is a lightweight beam trolley anchor for wide beams, the moving anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Workers on wide overhead beams mount it to the flange so the anchor rolls with them, then connect an SRL or lanyard to the swivel eye. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device to complete the system.
Features
Rolls with the worker
Wheeled trolley tracks your movement along the beam for continuous tie-off.
Lightweight aluminum
Forged aluminum swivel-eye connector keeps the unit lighter to handle.
Fits wide beams
Handles beams up to 18 in wide with a flange thickness up to 2-1/4 in.
Detent-pin setup
Forged aluminum swivel-eye assembly secured by a detent pin.
No drilling or welding
Mounts to the beam flange for a reusable, damage-free anchor.
ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7
Certified 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) anchorage strength.
Install on a rated beam and confirm the trolley is captured. The trolley must be correctly adjusted to the beam width, fully seated on the flange, and secured so it cannot roll off the beam end. Use only self-locking snap hooks or carabiners, and confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the Fall Protection Calculator below.
Compliance Standards
ANSI Z359.18-2017 and Z359.7
Anchorage connector and qualification standards. 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) strength.
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502
Federal construction fall protection anchorage requirements.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910
General industry personal fall protection requirements.
5,000 lb rated
Anchorage strength of 5,000 lb (22.2 kN) per attached worker.
Typical Applications
How to Install the 7712
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the wheels, side plates, detent pin, adjustment, and swivel eye before each use.
- Adjust to the beam. Set the trolley to the beam width so the wheels ride correctly on the flange.
- Mount and capture. Seat the trolley on the flange, engage the detent pin, and confirm it cannot roll off the beam end.
- Connect. Use only a self-locking snap hook or carabiner to attach your SRL or lanyard to the swivel eye.
- Check clearance. Confirm fall clearance and swing-fall with the calculator below.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Wheels and side plates: cracks, bending, flat spots, or seized wheels.
- Detent pin and adjustment: a pin that will not seat or an adjustment that will not hold.
- Swivel-eye connector: deformation, sharp edges, corrosion, or a swivel that binds.
- Markings: illegible or missing labels.
Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
