FallTech 7446 Removable Concrete Anchor
The FallTech 7446 Removable Concrete Anchor drops into a pre-drilled hole in cured concrete to create a temporary tie-off point, then comes back out so you can reuse it on the next location. Unlike a cast-in embed anchor, it is not permanent.
It is rated for 6,000 lb and installs into a minimum 3,000 psi fully cured concrete substrate that meets the manual's thickness and edge-distance requirements. Certified to ANSI Z359.18-2017, for one worker up to 310 lb (ANSI) or 425 lb (OSHA).

Who Needs This Product
This product is a removable concrete anchor, the reusable anchorage component of a personal fall arrest system. Crews drill a hole in cured concrete, drop the anchor in for a temporary tie-off, and remove it when done. It suits work that moves across a slab or returns to a site. You still need a certified full-body harness and a compatible connecting device.

Typical Applications
How to Install the 7446
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Inspect. Check the anchor body, D-ring, and mechanism before each use.
- Drill the hole. Use a rotary hammer drill and the specified bit to bore a straight hole of the correct depth and diameter into minimum 3,000 psi concrete.
- Set the anchor. Install the anchor into the hole per the manual and confirm it is fully seated and secure.
- Connect. Attach your SRL or lanyard to the D-ring.
- Check clearance, then remove. Confirm fall clearance below; remove the anchor when the task is complete.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent-person inspection at least annually. Remove the anchor from service for any of the conditions below.
- Anchor body and mechanism: cracks, deformation, corrosion, or a mechanism that will not set or release.
- D-ring: deformation, sharp edges, cracks, or corrosion.
- The drilled hole: damage or wear if reusing a previous hole.
- Labels: illegible or missing markings.
Remove the anchor from service immediately after any fall-arrest event, and destroy retired equipment so it cannot return to service.
