Who Needs This Product
Every connection in a fall protection system runs through a rated connector, and OSHA requires them to be self-closing and self-locking. FallTech's Z07 series carabiners carry 3,600 lb gate ratings in steel and aluminum with triple-lock gates, sized from 7/8 in up to 2-1/4 in openings for everything from D-rings to angle iron.

How to Use
Follow the FallTech instruction manual. The sequence below is an overview only.
- Match the opening. Choose the gate size for what you are clipping: 7/8 in for D-rings, 2-1/4 in for angle and pipe.
- Check compatibility. The connector must close and lock fully on the mating hardware with no side-loading.
- Triple-lock to open. Twist and pull the gate per the Z07 design; it self-locks on release.
- Load the spine. Keep loads on the major axis, never across the gate.
Inspection and Retirement
Inspect before each use, with a documented competent person inspection at least annually.
- Gate: closes and locks by itself from any position.
- Body: no cracks, deep nicks, or corrosion.
- Rivets and springs: tight and functional.
Retirement triggers: any fall loading, a gate that fails to self-lock, or visible damage.

What is the gate rating?
The Z07 series carries a 3,600 lb gate rating, meeting the ANSI Z359.12 requirement for connector gates in all directions.
What does triple-lock mean?
The gate requires three deliberate motions to open and self-closes and self-locks when released, which is what OSHA requires of fall protection connectors.
Steel or aluminum?
Steel is the durability default. Aluminum saves roughly half the weight on your harness, which adds up across a day of climbing; both meet the same gate standard.
What size opening do I need?
Match the gate to the hardware: 7/8 in handles D-rings and eyes, 1-1/8 in mid-size hardware, and 2-1/4 in captures angle iron, pipe, and large anchor points.

FallTech 2-Year Limited Warranty. FallTech warrants to the buyer that all products are free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of shipment. Obligation is limited to product replacement for two (2) years from the date of installation or use by the owner, not to exceed two (2) years from the date of shipment.
