Polyurethane-Coated Harness, Red, 5-Point, Grommet Legs

The Guardian H77352 seals the harness against the site: red polyurethane-coated webbing that sheds concrete slurry, mud, paint, and grime that saturate standard webbing, with a quick-connect chest and grommet leg buckles. Wipe it down at the end of the shift and inspect clean webbing instead of caked fiber.

Certified to ANSI Z359.11 and compliant with OSHA 1910.140 and 1926.502 at the capacities in the manual.

Who Needs This Product

Concrete, drilling, and coating crews destroy standard harnesses from the outside in: contamination works into the fibers and hides the damage inspection looks for. The poly coating keeps the mess on the surface where a wipe removes it, and the red color makes contamination visible immediately.

Features

Built for harsh industrial environments

Durable harness construction designed to perform in demanding industrial applications where cleanliness and long-term wear resistance matter.

Durable, easy-to-clean webbing

Polyurethane-coated webbing provides added resistance to wear and contamination while allowing for fast and easy cleaning.

Faster harness fit-up

Quick-connect chest and tongue buckle leg straps help simplify donning and removal.

Quick and efficient adjustment

5 points of adjustment and spring-loaded torso adjusters allow for faster and simplified harness fitment.

Convenient connector management

Dual lanyard keepers securely stow unused connector legs and keep equipment out of the way during work.

Jobsite-grade construction

Built with the materials and finish quality Guardian applies across its height safety line.

Fit before the first step up. Adjust the harness so the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades, the chest strap crosses mid-chest, and leg straps allow a flat hand but not a fist. Retire any harness that has arrested a fall.

Donning Overview

Donning must follow the Guardian instruction manual for this harness. The sequence below is an overview only.

  1. Inspect first. Check webbing, stitching, D-rings, and buckles before every use.
  2. Shake out and orient. Hold by the dorsal D-ring; straps fall into place without twists.
  3. Arms through. Put the harness on like a jacket, shoulder straps over both shoulders.
  4. Buckle the chest. Connect the chest buckle at mid-chest height.
  5. Buckle the legs. Connect each leg strap; snug so a flat hand fits but a fist does not.
  6. Adjust and check. Set all adjustment points and confirm the dorsal D-ring sits between the shoulder blades.

Inspection and Retirement

Inspect before every use, and have a competent person perform a documented inspection at least every six months under ANSI Z359.2 practice. Remove the harness from service for any of the conditions below.

  • Webbing: cuts, fraying, abrasion, burns, or chemical damage.
  • Stitching: broken, pulled, or abraded threads at load-bearing junctions.
  • Hardware: cracks, corrosion, or deformation of D-rings and buckles.
  • Impact indicators: any deployment (models so equipped).
  • Labels: missing or illegible.

Retirement triggers: any fall arrest event, a deployed impact indicator, or any condition where the inspector cannot positively verify the harness is fit for service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the polyurethane coating do?
It seals the webbing fibers so slurry, mud, paint, and chemicals stay on the surface and wipe off, instead of saturating the fiber and masking cuts and abrasion from inspection.
What are grommet leg buckles?
Tongue-buckle style connections through reinforced grommet holes, giving positive belt-style adjustment that stays put in contaminated conditions where friction adjusters slip.
Who runs coated harnesses?
Concrete placement and finishing, foundation drilling, coating and abatement, and any trade whose harness comes home heavier than it left. The wipe-clean shift-end inspection is the entire point.
Which standards does this product meet?
It is compliant with ANSI Z359.11,OSHA 1910.140, OSHA 1926.502 when used within a complete, competent-person verified fall protection system, and Guardian products are tested in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
When should this product be retired?
Retire it after any fall event, any failed inspection item, or whenever an inspector cannot positively verify it is fit for service. The inspection criteria in the linked documentation define the pass-fail conditions.
Is documentation available for submittal packages?
Yes. The manufacturer documentation linked on this page covers installation, specifications, and compliance, and every file is hosted on our site for direct download into your submittal package.
How fast does this product ship?
It is stocked for shipment in 1 business day, and shipping cost is calculated based on the delivery location at checkout.
